Stitch's SuperSonic Celebration at the Magic Kingdom is expected to close within the next two weeks. The show has only been open for around 6 weeks, but has failed to win over audiences. The main criticisms voiced on our discussion forums and review pages are the total lack of shade for the guests and a poor story line. It isn't clear yet what changes will be made to the show, but with the facility that was built, you can expect some kind of rework or new show to appear quickly.

Just coming to post that. How embarassing.

Not to start this whole thing up again, but with all the buzz Potterland is getting for Universal, Disney REALLY needs to do something quickly. Don't get me wrong - People will always go to Disney. However, without something new and exciting to keep people from going to Universal, guests are going to start spending more and more time there.

Darn! My DS9 was looking forward to seeing that...there are so many princess things for DD, and he was excited there was something cool for him. My fingers are crossed that that's just a rumor!

How about something with Phineas and Ferb? They really need to do some stuff with NEW characters, not Stitch. He is not the headliner figure they are trying to make him into. And why are they trying so hard? That movie is old!

I hope they keep the "Stitch" theme but rework the show. I watched the video posted on youtube, I'm a diehard Stitch fan, but it was really painful watching it.

Heres fingers crossed that the show gets a makeover.

Hi,
I saw the stage show on Friday, 6/5/09 and was sooo looking forward to see it in person.

Even though I think some of things that Stitch did and said were adorable, I have to say that the entire event is overall boring. Besides the lack of shade in this area, as I looked around me everyone seems such plain bored.

I also thought that some of the dance moves by the dancing stage girls were a little over the top for such little kids to see and was actually suprised at that also.

I hate to say it but I think it can be improved.

I just don't get why Disney doesn't realize that people have had it with Stitch. For a mediocre movie that doesn't rank with any of the Disney classics, they've come up with one of the most disliked MK attractions, now added another disaster, toilet-papered the castle, changed the monorail spiel, modified Downtown Disney (remember the broken down van) and created a character meal ('Ohana breakfast). And for what? Nothing!

OK, off my box. Sorry 'bout that...

I think they should change it to a Wall-E theme. They already created that life sized Wall-E character that can interact with guests, so why not have him come out instead of Stitch? The big monitor screen can be ads for Buy-N-Large just like the big monitors in the movie were. They can then have EVE come up on screen and contact Wall-E here on Earth or something and then he comes out, does his thing and thats that. I think the difference with Stitch is that he is either a love him or hate him character, there isn't much in-between. Where as Wall-E is a love him or hes just ok kinda character. I never heard anyone say "I hate the character Wall-E"

And in regards to the Stitch Supersonic Celebration, it just looks so dated. People dressed like Power Rangers doing the robot? Stitch as Elvis? Does anyone even think its funny to see Stitch as Elvis?

It takes alot for me to find things I will genuinely say I dislike at WDW and honestly, this is probably one of the only things, but the show is horrid and the buildings they created in Tomorrowland are horrid and misplaced. Im glad they are changing the show supposedly, but I'd rather they just remove the whole thing and pretend it never happened.

I don't know that Harry Potter will keep people out of Disney World on a long term basis. Sure, we'll mostly all drop by over at Universal to see it. Will we keep going back though?

I think a Wall-E theme for a show would probably get even less attention than the Stitch show. But I could be wrong.

Speak for yourself. This is one person who hasn't had it with Stitch!

I will say, however, that there are probably better vehicles to use him other than the current Stitch attractions.

Up just came out they should do something with dug he is a cute dog and really funny when i went to the theaters to see the movie it was packed full of kids i was surprised to see that many and i went the 2nd or 3rd week since the releasing of the movie. Wall-E would be cute too! That movie had a great story line i bet the people at disney could come up with alot for that show! I mean its space themed.... The whole room or where ever you are watching the show you could be in a rocket! haha just a thought..... :goodvibes

Maybe it's just me but I didn't care for Wall-E. I could not sit through the movie. For me it was boring. If I had a choice I would rather see Stitch than something with Wall-E.

i havent seen the show(i really dont like Stich) If it was me, I would do a show that would incorporate more than one character. It seems that Disney has forgotten that they are more than a few that they seem to feature to death. use the resorces you have, how many winnie the pooh, stich, pixar things can they do?

Just get rid of stitch!

I agree Stitch has to be one of the least successful movies and least liked character. Why can't the Disney Imagineers realize this and drop him!

Anything would be better than Stitch -- please or please drop the Stitch wake-up call too! Give us more of the fabulous five! Why not an actual ride with Mickey and his pals. I can't believe they don't have an actual ride with Mickey and pals.

The current Stitch fiasco could be modified with the fabulous five characters. It could be like a live version of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse show in which Donald or Goofy messes things up and the others have to help reset order.

My kids would love to see something with Phineas and Ferb!

I'm not sure why they didn't see this coming- Stitch's Great Escape is generally regarded as pointless/boring by most as well. The character is beloved by some, but isn't that engaging to most. While he fits with the theme of Tomorrowland, they'd be better off redoing the celebration as well as SGE into something that actually interests guests.
