Hello! I am so excited - I get to book our first trip home next week at the 11 month mark. Since we bought BWV sight unseen, I was hoping for a little help with requests.

I am torn between a 2 bedroom Boardwalk View or a Pool View. Our first trip home will be self, DH, DD(5), DS(3), plus my parents. Do you recommend a BW or Pool view for this group in terms of location, convience, wow factor etc.?

I would love to hear any feedback.

Thanks - champagne27 :flower:

Gee I wonder what direction this thread will go. :scratchin :)

I've never stayed in a BW view room, but that's almost certain to give you a greater "wow" factor. Some people complain about the noise from the Boardwalk below, but IMO you're just as likely to get disruptive people in the pool after hours with the pool view.

BW view will be most impressive and location is better for BW and EPCOT. It's also the harder reservation so I'd grab it. Besides you can only request pool view but you can be confirmed BW view.

My advice is to book the guaranteed Boardwalk view. The only way to be sure of getting one is to book at the 11 month mark. Perhaps you won't be able to book at that time in the future. I think all BWV owners should experience the BW view at least once - but be prepared, you might get hooked on it, LOL.

Since you have two little ones and your parents traveling with you, you may be spending more time in the room. You'll be able to see the higher level fireworks from IllumiNations from the balcony and probably even those from Wishes. There's always something to watch from the balcony. My 4 year old nephew liked watching the boats and the lights as well as the evening games.

FWIW, I don't thnk it will be tough to get a pool view if you decide you'd rather have that. Be sure to specify Luna Park or quiet pool if you have a preference.

Keep in mind that your BW view room will probably be a bit of a walk from the elevators. That may or may not be important to you. Close to the elevators is nice if you travel with strollers or anyonewho is mobility impaired.

Best wishes-

I would go with the boardwalk view. There have been posts recently where people complained that their pool view was really no view with trees and high balcony walls in the way. Some of the pool views are a long walk too.

The Boardwalk View is guaranteed. The pool view is not. A preferred view does not guarantee a pool view.

When we stayed there we had a view of the "quiet pool" and a view of the canal. I loved it!!! I could sit on my balcony and watch the activity in the canal and all the poeple walking by. We also had a great view of the Tower of Terror in MGM. It was very peaceful and relaxing.
