My family will be staying at BWV and I am planning a trip with only one day at a theme park and a couple at the water parks. I want to have fun but not have such a hectic schedule. I am listing my plan below and asking for ideas on how to improve my plan for a family of 4 including a 15 year old girl, a 9 year old boy, and parents.

Family Disney Flexible 2011 Trip Plan

Check Activities at Boardwalk & Beach Club Including Movies Under the Stars

Monday – Relax, Swim, Activities

Tuesday – Typhoon Lagoon & Whatever

Wed. – Rent Boats at Contemporary, Tour and Swim WL, Hike to Stables
Fort Wilderness has horseback riding at the Tri-Circle D Livery

Have you done the miniture golf that is on the other side of the swan/dolphin. I have always done winterland/summerland but plan on doing the other one if for no other reason thatn the convenience dueing our BWV stay (and doing something different)

That's sounds like a wonderful plan. The parks only scratch the surface of all the things there are to do at WDW. Have fun! :goodvibes

We have never been miniature golfing at Disney but I did watch some utube videos and Winter Summerland seemed nicer.

I have 2 boys almost the same ages as yours (15 and 11), and they are always bored with the activities at BWV - the activities always seem geared towards younger kids. Could you not add in more park days since you will be so close to EPCOT/HS? I will add that we let the boys rent a sea racer last Sept at the WL, and they had a blast doing that - your 15 year old is allowed to drive the boat with the younger as the passenger. My boys do love the water parks, so I'm sure those will be a hit!

The challenge is justifying the cost of park passes to add extra days at the parks. If you have a one day pass with water parks you get 2 days in the water parks. Thats 3 days of entertainment. If you go with a 2 or 3 day pass you are spending almost as much as a pass that would cover a week or more. Disney does a good job locking you into the parks from a financial standpoint and I want to avoid that. If I buy a longer pass I feel obligated to get my money's worth and spend my time in the parks. But on the other hand it is nice to be able to go in the parks if you should choose. The best option is the annual pass but we don't spend enough time at DW to justify that.
