I am toying around with the idea of trying to rent points for my upcoming Aug. trip. I have a question about the BWV studios, and all of the other studios for that matter. I have read that there is a queen bed and a sleeper sofa in each room. Since the trip is my best freind and I and we would preffer not to share a bed how big a hassle is it to pull out the sleeper sofa every night? Also how much space is left over in the room once the sofa is pulled out? Thanks!

OKW has 2 queen beds in their studios. I understand that the sleeper sofas at SSR have some sort of foam mattress and people think they are great. (Forgive me if they aren't foam, they are some sort of new material.) Eventually all of the studios with sleep sofas will get these new mattresses, but for now, I would go with either of these 2 resorts if you each wanted your own bed.

OKW's studios aren't a rectangle, and the kitchenette area is between the "main" room and the bath area. SSR's kitchenette is near the entrance to the room, and the same setup is in the other DVC's, so in each case that area isn't impacted by the opened sofa. As far as in "the room" you still have a small round table and 2 chairs for seating when the sofa bed is opened. You can manage.

We had a 2 bedroom at the BWV, and in the studio part, a friend of mine, female, in her 50's, used the sleep sofa, and she wasn't that pleased with it. Now she says that it wasn't that bad, but when we were there, she did complain, says she should have slept on the floor. We;re having a "female only" trip in October, and I'll share the queen bed with her this time. I was going to get OKW, but for only 1 point more for the 2 nights, I got a BWV standard studio.

Good luck as you make your decision.

We open the sofa bed every night. It's no big deal. You leave your sheets and blanket on it and fold it back up in the morning and put your pillows back in the closet. I usually end up sleeping on it with one of the kids, and it isn't too bad. Not as comfy as the bed, but do-able.

We just got back form OKW and my friend slept on the sleeper sofa in the living room of a grand villa and she said it was very comfortable.

I am not sure if all the sleepr sofa are the same in all of the DVC resorts, but if they are, my 42 year old female "Pooh-sized" friend was quite comfy!
