BWV room request

Hi Everyone,
I am new here but not new to Disney. I am hoping this is the site where someone can help me with this question. We have a reservation at BWV in a 2 bedroom villa with a preferred view. I would like to put in a room request but since we have not stayed there before I don't know what to ask for. I would really love to request a room that has recently been renovated (can always ask right). We will be there in Jan which I think was the projected completion time. Do you think it will be complete by then? What do you BWV pros think?

They have been working on it since April so by January it should be pretty much done, perhaps working on the last ones. You can request a renovated room. Preferred views will face either the main or quiet pools, or the Swan and canal.
