Hello
We are going to stay in an one bedroom standard view at BWV. What would be a good request for us? I do not want first floor. I would like to look at the pool if possible. And we do like to park ourself and wall into the building at the end using our key cards. Thanks. We have two kids 8 and 5.

None of the standard view rooms overlook a pool. They overlook the resort entrance and the driveway leading up to it. There are flowers and landscaping between the villa wing and the black top areas.

If you don't want ground floor, request an upper floor.

If you want to be near to the self parking, ask to be across from the bus stop or near the tennis courts. If you request this, you will not be close to the elevators. However, if your family can do stairs, you will be very conveniently located to get to the Community Hall/quiet pool area, the self parking lot and the bus stop. Many of the rooms in this area have a view of IllumiNation's upper level fireworks from the balcony.

If it were me, I'd request N/S, dedicated, upper floor across from the bus stop.

As always, please keep in mind that requests are never guaranteed. We've had our reqeusts met about 1/2 of the time at the BWV, but we have never yet had a bad room or view. Each one has had its positives.

Best wishes -

We ask for the same thing, except I also specify room 3123 or 4123 (the two non-smoking dedicated 1BR units which also happen to be extra-large rooms on the corner of the building with extra large balconies).

As you mention, requests certainly are not guaranteed, but we were lucky enough to snag one of the corner rooms 2 years in a row so it doesn't hurt to ask!

You could ask for a "Duck Pond" view. This would get you around the corner and away from the "driveway" views (which aren't really bad at all). You'd have a view of the Duck Pond, bridge and the canal that goes to the Studios.

When I booked standard view, I requested top floor, across from the bus stop. You get a great view of Illuminations. I did end up getting 3123 one time (didn't specifically request it). The next time I requested 3123 or 4123 and ended up on the end next to Jellyrolls over the red building (now gone), which could not have been farther away. So it's really a roll of the dice.

We were in 2123 last October and LOVED it, but no way would I expect to get one of the X123 rooms on any given trip. (There are only three.) We looked at it as one of those special pixie-dust treats. I guess I'd check to see if any were available at check-in, but we'd be happy elsewhere, too. We don't mind the hall walks, and it's all BWV!

All I request in non smoking and close to the elevators.
