We just returned from an 8 day trip at the BWV. We took several family members, 12 in all and had 2 two bdrs and a studio so everyone could have some privacy, which worked very well. We had rooms 4077 and 4079. The rest of the family had 4085(studio), 4105 (1 bdr), and 4107(studio). We all had a great visit but this was the first time we had anything wrong with our room. Our 2nd bdr(studio 4079) had a broken door on the armoire and the back was off the television remote control. We had gone a day early and gotten the first 2 bdr and it was ready when we checked in at 1300. When we entered 4077, one of the burners had been left on high. It appeared that the shower stall had not been cleaned, also. It did take 2 calls to engineering to get the armoire door fixed but the remote was replaced immediately. Also, the master bedroom in this room did not have a balconey, which I really missed. The studio in 4085 was a dedicated studio and had the extra couch. It was in great shape as was 4105 and 4107. It didn't deter our fun and we had a great stay. The Christmas decorations were still up until Wednesday, the 14th. They also replaced the grass in the back that day after they had removed the Xmas tree. Also, they were replacing carpet in several rooms. We first noticed this on Tuesday in a few rooms on the 4th floor. On Thursday I came back for a nap in the afternoon and about the time I fell asleep I heard pounding from the room above us. It was slightly frustrating for me but my 18 month old nephew was napping in the next room, so I called to ask what was going on. It was the carpet replacement again. The pounding went on for about an hour and a half. I do realize they needed to do this but was surprised they chose the middle of the afternoon as that is prime nap time for the kids. We did experience a rare Saturday night on the BW. It was the day before the marathon and so we expected a big crowd and lots going on. It was extremely cold that night, however, so there was no entertainment and they closed Boardwalk Joes, Boardwalk To Go and the Spoodles to go window. There were incredibly long lines at the other restaurants also. It was also very cold the next morning for the marathon and we had a PS at Cindy's so it was quite a wait for the bus to the MK. We always rent a car but they told us that they roads were all closed. This ended up being not true as all the roads were open into the parks and resorts. It appears they were telling all the drivers the roads were closed to keep as many off the roads as possible. The bus also could not drop us off at the MK entrance and so we were dropped of at the TTC so it was a little hectic getting there but we made it. After Sunday, the weather was absolutely perfect. The crowds even on marathon Sunday were almost non existent. We didn't wait for anything and never used a fast pass. Everyone loved the BW and we made our next ressies while we were there for our first grand villa December 5th. As always, we can't wait for our next trip.
