BWV POOL Fences

I wonder if they'll fence in the massive SAB now? I hope so. Those poor CM's have to stand there for hours on end to check magic bands all day, when they could be put to good use. I do hope once the the quiet BCV pool is fenced in, will have MB access 24 hrs all day, I went down there at 12:30 AM last week and there were plenty of people quietly swimming, it was so nice after a busy park day.

It's already fenced with a few openings that are staffed by CMs. Been fenced for years that I remember.

oh I know. But my point is they could fence it completely in like the others, we use our MB's to get in, and relieve these CM's from just standing there all day. I hope they do this to SAB!

The electronic controlled gates probably aren't enough for SAB as guests could let others in. So though SAB has had the fence for a long time and could have gone to electric controls long ago, they will continue to monitor with CM's.

Good point Kathy, I didn't think of people actually sneaking others in. As a BCV owner, I'd like to keep it just us!

Ah, timing - I just read a report from this week that they now only have one CM walking around the pool area and checking MB's and issuing wrist bands. The other CM's who were checking have apparently been assigned elsewhere. Time to go sneak into SAB! 8-)

Actually, not a good idea to sneak in. We were there the last two weeks. Yes, the entrance was unmanned. However, we weren't there for 5 minutes before a CM came up to us, with her "radar gun" and needed our magic bands for proof of staying there. So its the same thing as being checked at the entrance. You (in general) will be checked. She explained that they will do that only in slow times, otherwise they'll be at all entrances. I saw her having to kick a man and woman out in front of us that were relaxing on a lounge chair. Was not comfortable to watch.

haha - I was just kidding. We're a bit strange but when we stay at BCV about the only thing we do with SAB is maybe sit in a chair on our last day to eat a sandwich before leaving for the airport. Otherwise we use the quiet pool.

lol I knew you were kidding :), I just wanted to make it really clear to thousands of people that read these boards, that they will be caught, no question. And they don't hesitate to throw you out. No wristband in the pool or on the lounge chair, you're out!

ITA.
When we went in August/September SAB was usually closed by the time we got back to the resort. So we headed over t the quiet pool. It was a nice way to relax and unwind before bed.

As someone who, throughout my illicit youth, MIGHT have tailed a car to enter a gated apartment complex or bypass an automated parking lot pay station once or twice ( :rolleyes1 ), I can assure you that just an automatic, unattended gate won't be enough for SAB.

I can understand just spot checking during slow times, though, as long as it's done thoroughly. We pay a lot for the privilege of using SAB, including giving up amenities that are more available at other resorts. People who want to use it can stay at the resort just like the rest of us.

Has anyone here tried getting into the BWV quiet pool early am? Did your MB open the gate no matter what time or did you have to wait for a certain time to access the area? We are usually down there 7:30 to 8am for coffee and breakfast.

AFAIK, they haven't installed any gate locks/MB access to the BWV fences just yet.

I wonder if this may be more an insurance issue more then keeping people out. While that may be part of it as well. Safety issue when not open. We have an in ground pool and per our insurance it must be fenced. Just wondering.
