BWV at 7 months for end of May?

We are taking a group of kids to WDW with us to celebrate 8th grade graduation. Check in would be either the 22nd or 23rd of May. My son wants to try out BWV. We will need a 2 bedroom and would prefer a standard view to save on points or a boardwalk view. Will I be likely to get it if I'm on the phone at 7 months to switch?

Would love to hear from anyone who has switched over to BWV this time of year. I would really LOVE to surprise him since he just mentioned it in passing!

We were able to switch into a standard view 1 bedroom at BWV for 9 nights over Memorial Day weekend (2013) at the 7 month window. We could not have gotten a standard view 2 bedroom because all of the standard view studios were already booked for that time period - to make a 2 bedroom lock-off, you need the studio plus the 1 bedroom.

Pool view was open for 2 bedrooms for our time period though.

I was able to switch to BWV 2 bedroom at 7 months for this coming Sept but only for pool/garden view. Really, really wanted standard to save on points so went on the waitlist. Then I thought about it and decided that if I was going to spend that many points I might as well go on a waitlist for boardwalk view also. I have been on both waitlists for over 6 months and there has been no movement. I've got a little over 2 weeks left on the standard view with no real hope and will go up to 7 days before on the bw view.

I would think that you will have a harder time in May during F&G but you never know. Keep trying and something good may happen. Good luck!

If you were booking a one bedroom you would have a better shot at 7 months for standrd view, especially since you will be there for Memorial Day weekend. If you don't need too many days I would book what you can at 7 months and then wait list. Good luck!

This year I was planning to switch into a 2BR at the Boardwalk beginning the Saturday of Memorial weekend. There were Garden/Pool views available for the week. I checked the Beach Club and scored a 2BR 2Q. Standard views are hard to come by.
