Does anyone have experience with these two hotels? We've never stayed at either and are considering both for a visit just before Christmas.

Does anyone know if the BWPPI rooms have safes in them?

I have stayed at both a couple of times.
The mini suites at Best Western only have a half wall separating the beds from the pull out couch. The parlor suite at Desert Inn has a separate (very small) living room that you enter from outside where the pull out couch is.
The decor and landscaping (what little there is at both) are nicer at the Best Western. Some of the higher floors at the Desert in have windows back by the bath area where you can see the fireworks from.
The interior pool at the Desert Inn is small and loud. The exterior pool at Best Western is not large either but seemed more relaxing to me.
The Desert Inn works if you need that separate area but I much prefer the Best Western for comfort and style.
I am sorry, I do not remember if there are safes or not.

I've not stayed at the Desert Inn, but I'll be staying at BWPPI in a couple of weeks & will post pics in the hotel pictures/reviews thread. Anything specific there that you'd like me to photograph? I will also report back on if they have safes or not.

The BWPPI does not have safes in the rooms. They do have safe-deposit box up at the front desk.

Just general pics would be nice. I like to see the real life pics, not the website pics ;)

Thanks for all the info and the pics!!

We could see the fireworks from our room at BWPPI.
