Buzz Lightyear Ride Closed Jan 4-Feb 8

Just found out Buzz Lightyear's Spin will be closed while we are there.

DS is going to be heartbroken!

My mom is taking me and DD11 & DS7 for 8 days/7 nights in January.

When I told her about BUZZ, she looked at me with all seriousness & asked if we should reschedule.

But we're not. We'll just have to ride it twice as many times when we go for 8 days again in May.

You would think they would wait a couple of more days until ALL of the Christmas crowds were gone.

I hope they can fix it while it's down! It was broken down about the half the times we wanted to ride it last week. It seemed like every time we went to ride it, it was closed.

I'm hoping they'll reopen or at least be guest-testing it a week or so before the scheduled reopening date.
I'm feeling slight devastation about it being closed while we're there too....'tis a favorite ride of ours.

I'm glad they are going to fix it. We have had more problems on that ride recently than on any other. It isn't too fun when you are stuck going forward and can't spin or shoot anything.

January 4 seems safe. I'd be more concerned about the February 8 date -- that's cutting it close to be open by President's Day weekend.

We changed our vacation from Jan 25-31 to Feb 8-14 because of this. My ds(4) would have been so heartbroken if he could not go on this ride. This is our first family trip and the Buzz ride is all he talks about. Hopefully they will have it up on time.

We're keeping our fingers crossed that we'll be able to get on it on Jan. 3 before it shuts down. I'm guessing that the line will probably be pretty bad in anticipation of the rehab. This may call for the Daddy Dash (well okay more likely a fast walk) with all the tickets for a fast pass while the kids hit Fantasy Land with DW at park opening.

Totally understandable! If I could have changed our vacation dates I would have.......this truly is a favorite ride of ours and we're adults, how goofy is that?

My mom loves this ride. She had us go on it more than 15 times while we were there. Hope they fix it quickly so others get to enjoy it.
