Buying Tickets from Disney - Fast Pass Activated?

Probably a silly question. I have a My Disney Experience account, so if I buy tickets whilst logged on, will they automatically upload to that account which will then enable me to book FP+ when the 30 day window is up. Noticed that the small print said E tickets so I assume I will have to go to Guest Services. I think I did this last year but that was before days of FP+ and Magic Bands.
