Excellent point, davidl81. Quick question regarding RIV -- we're looking to add a small 100-point contract to our AKV resale currently in ROFR now. I was going to wait for a good deal on a second resale. BUT... if I bought a 100-point RIV... I know I have restrictions with the AKV resale... can I transfer those AKV points into the RIV contract/use year and use them at RIV and future resorts? That could be a huge benefit. I tried searching the forums but saw conflicting answers to this particular situation.

No, unfortunately only the direct 100 points you bought we’d be able to be used at RIV. You could use the RIV points at any resort, but the resale points cannot be used at RIV (or any other DVC 2 resort).

Even on the ROFR thread I always question a few of the post about the numbers being real. Seeing some fully loaded and banked SSR contracts in the low 80s for 100ish points really makes me wonder. I guess it possible that a seller just did not care and just took a low offer, but its also possible that someone just wanted to "win" and have the best deal on the board.

I bought my 100pt Aug SSR contract (full points 2020 and beyond) for $75/pt on ebay that was listed by a bankruptcy liquidator. Back in January when prices are seasonally the low point in resale.
It was a PITA to get everything completed and took a decent amount of time.

I never listed it in the ROFR thread because of the odd circumstances (ebay, bankruptcy) made it an outlier for the data. Those things do happen, but rarely.
