Were the Aulani MF issues discovered by Hawaii or was it another state that found the problems?

NY seemed to be a popular buyers of VGF during that first month where only existing members could buy. (May/early June 2013)

We will never know the facts but Hawaii is a good bet. They charge a tax based on dues and one rumor was that State auditors questioned Disney's numbers.

East coast buyers have always been strong for WDW, West coast DLR and Aulani.

My understanding is that each timeshare project is registered separately.

In Nevada they either never did register to sell several of the older resorts - or if they originally did they did not renew to continue to be able to. I was surprised to learn that several years ago when we wanted to add on a few more BCV points and ended up using DH's work address in CA to do it.

My DVC guide called me yesterday and told me they are now approved to sell in NYS. We're still on the fence about buying, though.
