Hi, we will be staying at the Yacht & Beach Club next week. Therefore, I am posting this questionon this board ( and besides you guys know EVERYTHING ::yes:: ) Hopefully, this is okay.

I need to purchase park passes. I plan to purchase right at the BC lobby. (I did this at BW, my home resort & hope I can anyway.) But, the big question is, will I pay full price or the discounted price for the pass? I'm wondering if I need to make a trip to my DS to save some money.

As always, thanks for your help.

You'll only recieve a discount on passes if staying on DVC points. Also, the discount is only on the UPH pass. If you plan on buying a PH pass, there is no discount available at the resorts. You'll need to buy it in advance like you're thinking. You also can't purchase Annual Passes at any WDW resort, you need to get those at any of the 4 parks Guest Services, or at DTD.

No discounts at the resorts. You need to buy in advance to get any discounts, I would make a trip to your DS in NJ before going.

An example :
Advance price of an adult 5 day PH is $244.95 at the gate it's $265.19 so you will save about $15 on each adult ticket.

Thanks Bill & Lori!

Since I am only buying a park hopper pass, it's off to the DS I go!

My sister has annual passes, so she's fine; but I like buying larger park hoppers even though I'm only using a couple of days, then for another trip we just use the remaining days, which we label & store to get a further "discount."

If you are not doing the Ultimate Hopper, you can get a better deal online at such places as TicketMania and others.

See Mousesavers about Online Discounts.

You can also get TicketMania and others to drop off Passes right to your own Resort.

I have done that before, without a problem.

Other brokers to look into Paramount and Orlando Travel or something like that , see mousesaver site.

www.mousesavers.com

Paramount even gives either a freebie character meal or a disney quest ticket with some of their larger passes, such as the 7 park hopper plus.

I always buy either a 7 park hopper pluss if I am going to buy any hopper, and keep the extra days and plusses for the future, it is the cheapest USA per day forever option.

The Disney store is cheaper than the gate and hotel without a discount, but it isn't as cheap as these brokerage ticket places.

If your intention is just to buy a Hopper pass (no plusses), you won't find those for sale by any of the other on-line ticket brokers.

If you want to save yourself the trip to the Disney Store, you can buy the passes at the WDW web site, and select a delivery option that lets you collect them when you arrive at WDW.

Thank you all.

tjkrz, I am only buying regular Hoppers. I should have mentioned that I am using my Disney Rewards dollars for these. Can I redeem these online at Disney? I'm sure the brokers wouldn't accept them. It's a great idea that I was not aware of - that I could have them delivered to the resort. I will certainly research this further.

You sure can.

Go to disneyworld.com, choose the Purchase Tickets link. Select the tickets you want and go to checkout. The delivery options should include "Will call", and the payment area does have options for the rewards card.

It looks like you'll have to wait until you arrive at the theme park to pick up your tickets--not the resort--but that's still better than a special trip to the DS. ;)

1) Don't forget, there is a hidden bonus when buying from TDS.
2) Disney Store gives an 800 number to call for ressies.
3) If you add hotel, PS, and other ressies, this could be big bucks.

NOTE: We figure we saved $25-$35 this trip alone in long distance charges. In one case, we held for over 25-minutes to schedule a tour.
. . . two calls to reserve the hotel
. . . four PS-Ressies calls
. . . two calls to reserve tours
. . . one call to order Disney Dollars
. . . one call to confirm all the ressies prior to the trip
