We will be going in arly January. The Universal website sells ticket vouchers that you redeem at the park. I need 2-day both park type tickets. Any advantage to buying these vouchers vs. just buying the tix when I get there?
I suspect you could save a few bucks buying tickets from a reputable ticket site such as TicketMania or MapleLeaf tickets. Both sell tickets, not vouchers. For a 2-day Escape pass it looks to be about 97 for adults, 87 for kids, tax included. I think you get a 3rd day free if you use it in a 7 day window......
I have vowed to always buy my tickets on line before I head out on my trip. Here's why:
1) I never have to stand in line to buy my tickets
2) it is sent right to my home before I go
3) it is an expense that is done and paid for before I head out to the parks
4) they are ALWAYS cheaper than buying them at the gate
5) you never know when the prices of tickets are going to increase, and reputable ticket companies (such as the one's mentioned above) sell tickets that never expire
I personally have used ticketmania.com and have been very impressed with their service. They usually have a better deal on their site than what universal is offering. Additionally, they do not charge for shipping, and I have had my tickets within 5 business days (and I live in Canada!).
i too always buy mine before leaving home. most of the time it is an actual ticket but this past june i bought vouchers from universal's site. worked out great. i just picked them up from the kiosk and we went right in. there was a small line but was definitely offsetted for me as i got 5 day passes for the price of 2. loved that!
