Anyone know where I can buy Longaberger baskets? A good friend who's due in March wants one for her nursery. She said it's divided so she can put different baby supplies in the different section. Any ideas??? I'll search eBay, but figured there may be some experts here.

I would take a look at the Longaberger site and see if they list consultants near you.

I imagine Ebay will be pretty expensive. Longabergers are expensive enough.

Longaberger uses Independant Sales Consultants. Go to the website and one will contact you if you wish. There are tons that are divided, so it will be hard to know exactly which one she wants. Could you ask her the name of the basket or will that give the surprise away?

I was going to surprise her, but maybe I can tell her I wanted something like that for my nursery...

It appears that you can purchase through their site. I didn't actually purchase, but they have lists of their products, you pick how many and put it in your "shopping basket." So I think you can buy.

I live in the land of Longaberger, literally. The corporate basket is on my way to work. If you can't find what you want on their site I work with someone who is a consultant. I only own one and know very little about them except that I can't aford them on a teachers salary.

Basket bingo! You could try to win one at a bingo.

Or, find a local basket bingo (if there is such a thing where you live) and ask to speak to the local sales rep.

(BTW, do they have basket bingos all over the place, or is that just a MD thing? They are pretty popular here.)

I love the Longaberger, have way tooo many!! Some of my ones that I wanted (usually retired baskets) I found at antique malls for a reasonable price. Maybe call around to a few in your area and ask if they have any? Or the website will forward you to a consultant. Just an FYI, I know they are expensive and I think it is still at $150 spent you can get an item at half price if there was also one you wanted. I have done that pretty often to get some more expensive baskets I wanted.

You're friend probably has one of the baskets in mind that are shown in a nursery -there has been one shown in the catalog in a nursery w/divided sections forever now...but it might be best if you can find out who her Longaberger consultant is then you could speak with her about the basket - BUT if you want to keep it all a surprise just buy one - she'll love it no matter what if she's a fan she'll love any basket she gets - and if you go thru a consutlatnt they will allow you to swap the basket if it's absoultely one she doesnt' like (but I dount that...)

Just know you'll spend around $100, 'cause you have to pay for the basket + the divider & then if you want a fabric liner then you add even more $$....just so you know what you're looking @ moneywise....
