Buying from another guide??

I've been trying to get a hold of my guide since last Wednesday without luck. I first called last Wednesday and his voicemail said he was off on Tuesday and Wednesday. I called again on the Thursday and got the same voicemail which hadn't been updated, but I left a message. No call back yet, so on Monday I sent an e-mail and this morning I called again and it's still the same message.

The problem is that we're heading down in 2 weeks for the weekend with the intent to purchase VGF points. Because we are from eastern Canada, we have to buy on-site.

I'm worried our guide is out sick or something like that and won't be there when we are there. If that is the case, will we be able to purchase from another guide and is there any way to set up a meeting before we get there??

If your guide is not available when you are at WDW, there will be someone covering for him.

I would also try the main DVC sales number and see if you can get up a meeting with him that way or at least have them note that you will be there and want to meet with someone to buy.

Right. Once when I was having trouble reaching mine I called the general number, explained what I wanted, and I was put on with a woman who said she was my guide's supervisor and she'd take care of everything.

Everything worked out fine. Turns out he WAS on vacation when I was trying to reach him so it's a good thing I didn't wait for him to call back.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I actually got a courtesy call today from my guide's supervisor to advise me that he was out until June 9th, but that he would call me that day.

I thought it was pretty nice of him to let me know.
