Well, give isn't the right term because they will charge you prorated MFs on the current year and if you were getting a December UY, then you'd still be in your 2012 UY anyway. So the term "give" can be a pretty persuasive sales tactic.
I know. Both times we bought direct we got those "extra" points. We felt like they were giving them to us.
Have since figured out they "gave" us nothing we didn't pay for.....just saved the MFs on nearly a year's worth of points. Initial purchase was in late Sept so we did owe a few months' MFs because we have a Feb UY. When we added on it was after Thanksgiving the next year. We had a bit of a mix-up and had to disregard the first set of papers. By the time everything was settled we really only owed a month's dues for those year's points. 310 BLT points that we got to use without paying most of the dues on them.
