I feel I should know this, but have never used the DVC member site even though we have been members for 3 years.I want to order three AP's ,using the DVC discount, for our trip in April. I have read about people ordering them through the DVC site, but I do'nt know where this is . :confused3 Can they the be picked up at the hotel? Is ther any advantage to ordering them before the trip or just getting them when we arrive? Thanks! :earsboy:

You beat me to it!! I am trying to do the same. I did a search on the DVC website, but it directed me to waltdisneyworld.com Florida resident ap (I wish!!). Help!!

go to the

www.dvcmember.com

but if you can't make it work -then just get them at the parks when you arrive.

I was going to send you a link to the site - but the link looked like it cared some of my information. sorry about that.

Ok I figured it out!! Once you log in, it's on the main page, on the margin. It says buy passes now. DUH!! I can't belive I didn't see it!! :confused3 Thanks!!

Just be sure to follow up with a call to give them your member number!

I'm looking into these same issues for upcoming May trip and one advantage to buying before you leave is to purchase the DDE (Disney Dining Experience). It saves you 20% at most restaurants, including the alcohol. It costs $50 for DVC AP owners. From what I have learned here, it seems you have to order it in advance of your trip and would need to be in the AP system to get a $25 discount off the regular price of $75. For me, it will make me buy my aps early just to get DDE. More info on other threads but something to look into if you eat around the world much. At 20% off, $50 is recovered pretty quickly!

Unless I missed a thread somewhere, that is not true. In fact, ordering the APs through the DVC web site will not get you "in the AP system." All you're going to get is a voucher with no identifying information. The voucher is then redeemed at Guest Services for a personalized AP.

Everything that I've read here indicates that the DDE folks are taking people at their words in saying that they will be buying an AP or activating an AP when they arrive at WDW.

Buying the DVC voucher in advance really doesn't save any time or money since the price is the same and you still need to wait in the same line at WDW to redeem the voucher as you would to just buy the pass itself.

Sorry if I mis-stated. I tried to word this so whoever read it would check further as I wasn't sure about the details. I was under the impression you needed the ap to buy the DDE with the discount. With these new offerings and new procedures, it's getting confusing even for us old-timers!

And I'm not sure that you won't need the AP or voucher to get the DDE discount. We have active APs. When I ordered our DDE cards, Amy asked for my complete address before completing the purchase. I think they can access the info now. Someone else reported needing the number from their voucher order.

I think you are right Epcot Mom...it doesnt hurt to check.
