Buying AP through MS and it doesn't get mailed????

I bought the 13 month AP the other day. MS gave me a will call number, but when I asked about getting voucher in mail, she said they don't mail them out. I wrote to MS and was told.......

We do not mail vouchers for Annual Passes purchased with the Member
discount. When you visit Guest Relations to activate the passes, they
will give you a card that you will use for your Annual Passholder
discounts.

I have the will call number and I can point to a CC charge for 1100 something (2 ap) but I'd feel a whole lot better with a voucher in hand. Or at least an email saying on Jan 2 I purchased 2 gold AP @ XXXXX amount of money.

Has anyone else purchased it through MS and had it mailed?

I haven't had it mailed but you can take the ticket # they give you over the phone and link it to your MDE account (this is actually what you have to do if you want to make advance FP). Then you will have it in your account and it will automatically generate an email to you letting you know an AP was added to your profile.

Thank you. That would make me feel better.

Now how do I fix the title of this thread...the word should be through....

Member services has not mailed me a physical ap card in several years. You just link the will call number to your mde account and you are ready to make fast passes when your window opens. You will need to stop by guest services before entering a park to activate your ap.

I've purchased several DVC APs both through MS and online. When I purchased online, the system asked me to choose which people in my MDE account should get the pass and then linked it to that person. I like this process - in my case, hanging on to a piece of paper is an invitation to either forget to bring it along or forget where I stashed it for safe-keeping. :)

The will call activation procedures worked flawlessly each time.

I took the liberty of fixing the spelling for you. But for future reference, if you want to change anything in the title, just click the EDIT link next to the Replies column on the Forum Thread Listing.

If you have a My Disney Experience account set up, it should appear there. Be sure to bring your blue DVC member card and photo IDs for both members.

I just purchased 4 on December 27th and received them via UPS on the 3rd.

I purchased online and was able to print a receipt voucher that had a barcode. I was able to link it to my granddaughters' account. Been doing it this way since purchasing online started.

Still, when you activate in person, everyone needs the photo id. DH did not have his drivers license with him.

Thanks for this information. I bought our APs online and they are linked to each person. I printed out the confirmation page, but do I have to bring it? I am like you and worried I will forget/lose it. Last last I purchased online I got vouchers, so I feel a little weird not having anything to prove I bought them, but I guess it is all in MDE.

I usually bring the email confirmations with me, but never needed them. None of the CMs wanted to see it when I offered. (Like you, I am always worried about a computer issue, but if necessary, I can always show them my credit card statement, which can be accessed online, too). They just typed away and after a few minutes, we had our AP activated, ad our discount card & ID our cards (driver's license & membership card) in hand. Goes quickly if there isn't a line at Guest Services.

I'm even less worried now - both because of my experience activating the passes and because the FP+ reservations worked as expected at the 60 day mark. Might even leave the email confirmation paper home next time!:eek: :teeth:

The CMs haven't even ask for the confirmation number for the last couple of years, just scan our MBs, when we activate the APs. We had already added the AP to MDE in order to book FP+, so there was no doubt it was in the system.

:thumbsup2 Thanks so much. This is what I thought, but it feels weird not showing up with any hard "proof" that I bought them. I can see them on MDE, so I should be good to go. I won't worry if I forget the confirmation.

Just a FYI..
will call numbers expire after 2 years.. or so I was told..

We stocked up on passes 3 years ago and had vouchers mailed to us, since we wouldn't be using them until many years later

With no more shipping vouchers, does that mean no more stocking up???
