Buying and waitlisting questions??

We decided that we would like to buy points at BCV instead of SSR.

I called the agent and I can buy at BWV and VWL and waitlist for BCV.

She states the waitlist is pages long and is at least 6 months out.

Can anyone tell me how long this could take?

We would like 150-200 points.

Should we just purchase the BWV or wait to purchase at BCV?

There is a specific thread on how long waitlists have been. I would do a search for it. It was fairly recent.

You should also check the resales at the timeshare store.

Some people have been successful getting BCV points more quickly by telling DVC they will take any Use Year rather than requesting a specific UY.

Plus if part of the waitlist is current members seeking an add-on, they have to match their use year. So you might move up quickly.

I just was put on the waitlist at the BCV!

I am keeping my fingers crossed that this will happen soon.
