Wow. What was the checkin date of the rental? It seems we’re in for a bit of a reset. I just saw BLT points go for $13.
Maybe. But I've seen points go for $10 and $12 a couple years ago when someone had to use or lose Holding Points. All depends on the circumstances. It seems we’re in for a bit of a reset. I just saw BLT points go for $13.
Besides "the market" could it be similar to the Airbnb issue where too many owners are buying just to rent their points for profit.? (not enough renters to use all the points)I know sales are slow but does anybody know what’s going on with point rentals??? People are renting for $17 a point?? I haven’t rented that low in 5 years!
Not renting with these prices offered by dvcrental. A couple of weeks ago, I started noticing that anything in the 7 month range was reduced, and then it got lower, and lower. Went from 16 to 14, then 13, then 12. Then I noticed these offeringes started popping up on BLT, Riveria, VGF during premium bookings. I emailed to question why, but I haven't seen a reply yet. (opps! I see a voicemail. I'll call back tomorrow.)
I really liked their friendly and professional service, though.

I contacted them through chat and as told as above. Essentially more rental points available than renters. I'm not sure I believe that entirely. I noticed that there are 3 AKV listings offered discounted price that could have easily been filled by my AKV points that have been listed with them for several months. Apparently they do not want to pay the contracted price on the AKV points. If you go to the guests side , they are saying slashed prices to $22 for 7-11 months but have also slashed owners prices to $14-$12 if look at prices on the claim this list. From my experience they are not filling reservation that could be filled with available points, so that they can try to get owners to claim the reservation at discounted price and they still make their normal amount. Not renting with these prices offered by dvcrental. Sadly, I started shopping for a new 3rd party. I liked their friendly and professional service.

Strange, because this is the opposite of renter demand, which is "last minute" because they don't plan as far out, because they are normal people. Not renting with these prices offered by dvcrental. it's also a less severe version of what happened in the Great Recession. At least, it's less severe so far.It makes sense.
