buying airline tickets,,confused help me please

never did this looked up prices on cheap ticket expedia and spirit air, frommich to orlando round trip 2 adults 591.00 good price for sept 14-- 2003 sept 182003 or should i wait for prices to go down??

i don't know how much it costs to fly from michigan but i know from here i can get them for around $200-250 a piece. if you keep close watch on the prices you should be able to find them slightly cheaper.

$591 for two adults seems high to me too. I'm waiting awhile for my Sept 20th tickets. I figure in a few months they'll have some good deals going. Good luck!

I have to agree that I feel that is a little high. You should really be able to get a fare for around $200, if you're flying from Detroit. Keep checking, you have plenty of time!!

We're flying out of Indianapolis and we've got $546 for 4 PEOPLE!! If you are in southern Michigan, it might be worth driving down to Indy to fly out. ATA is offering $136.50 direct round-trip. Go to ATA's site directly and there is no booking fee either.

September 14 to 18 is Sunday to Thursday. Most airlines require a Saturday night stay for their best rates. Can you go on Saturday? Maybe go Saturday evening and stay at an airport hotel.

That sounds awfully high to me as well. I know that from Columbus we can get about $200-250 easy right now. I'd wait a while if I were you.

huckster - we just booked our flight for September directly through Spirit (from Detroit Metro) $236.50. I checked every airline that flies from Detroit to Orlando and the next cheapest was Northwest at $290 with one stop. I had checked expedia, cheap tickets but their prices were all $290 and up.

I just checked SpiritAir.com (from Detroit) and Sat-Thurs (9-13/9-18) is $258.50. If you fly to Orlando on Sat (9-13) and fly back home on the following Sat (9-20) it's $236.50
