Buying air line tickets

Oh course I would have permission , it would be my mom's .... She wants to by one way tickets for me and my daughter for our vacation , but didn't know if she can use her credit card

Using a third party credit card might be an issue. The airline might require a conference call with Mom or might require written permission from her.

I have bought tickets for my adult DS and DD in their names, but used my credit card. No problem at all. I always book online on the airline's website. As long as all the credit card info is correct (name on card, billing address, number, CV number, expiration date) there should not be a problem. The credit card company might call the owner of the card to confirm the purchase is valid, but my company never has.

You should be able to book online. The cc company might give your mom a call just to verify later. Recently we booked a lot of tickets; some for us; some for our daughter's family and before too long our phone was ringing to verify it was a legitimate transaction.

No, not how it works. The OP should have no problems doing this ( I was kidding about asking permission, btw). The airline doesn't care.

In fact, I recently noticed that I had accidentally put my husband's United Visa card number as payment default for my United Airline account (it's in his name only) rather than mine. I bought a number of tickets with it; zero problems. I have also been buying family members airline tickets using my credit cards for years.

It's no problem to do that. I buy my mother airline tickets all the time with my card and never had a problem or a phone call from the bank.

Same here. Twice this past year in fact I had already booked my airfare and my mom decided later to join me, so I bought her tickets separately. I've been paying for her airline tickets for years and have never received a call from my credit card company. Our last names are different, but it hasn't mattered. I've also used my cc to pay for her airline tickets when she was traveling alone to see her family in West Virginia.

I routinely buy tickets for someone other than myself, using my cc. In fact, I have been the one to buy air for my dd and her two friends...so two of the people didn't even have the same last name. Not a problem at all.

Just used my mom's cc last fall to buy tix for dh, ds and myself to fly in Dec.
No issues at all. The tickets had to be in our names (obviously) though.
