How difficult is it to use DDP credits for one person and have another person only order an entree OOP, both people in same room same plan. In other words share the dessert and Appetizer and save the on TS credit for a signature restaurant.

We did this at Yachtsman Steakhouse with no problem.

The waitress we had was very nice and when it came time to order desert, she even offered to give us the sampler plate that was to be shared by 2. We declined, but I thought it was nice that she offered. We did tip very well for my entree because she would have made a whole lot more $$ had we both been using our DDP credits.

I'm glad you tipped well, as it is a very kind thing to do. But, be aware that if you are dining with someone on the DDP, everyone gets charged an 18% gratuity. So you tipped well, and probably paid the flat 18% as well. (Still worth it, I'm sure. but it is good to know that they do this)

On our last trip I sent Mom & Dad to Artist Point as well as Sister & Brother-in-law to California Grill and allowed them only 2 TS credits per meal (I pretty much take charge of all the planning). Basically, one person at each meal ordered the full drink-app-entree-dessert and the other person ordered an entree and whatever else they wanted, and then they shared. Neither couple mentioned any problems with this to me!

I think a friendly demeanor, positive attitude, polite questions, and a big smile can take you far at a restaurant!

Hope this helps...

No, I checked the bill before we paid it and the gratuity was not added. We were also on the DDE, not sure if that was a factor or not.....

DH & I did this at Artist's Point & Brown Derby. One of us used the DDP & one of us used the DDE and paid OOP.:teacher:
