Bought my first handgun just a week after the election, a Glock 17 w/17 round clip. The Glock is a little tricky with the double trigger (safety) but I'm not bad with it. A couple weeks ago, found a .38 special for $350, which I plan to keep in my truck. I like the .38 a little more than the 9mm. Also found a 12 gauge short barrel shotgun at Big 5 for cheap. Haven't shot it yet, but probably this week. The big problem seems to be the cost of ammo. Found some on the internet for $8.49/box of 50 for 9mm, but after shipping it's just as cheap to buy at Wal Mart. I'm planning on going to the range maybe once a month so may need to stockpile a little, and maybe more if the price keeps going up.
