Buying 50 more pts at my home resort...

We bought our points through Disney - originally a 200 pt contract @ CCV and then like 2 days later added on another 50 pts. We've been going to Disney a few times the last year and have 2 trips coming up and DH made the comment last night that for our November trip we're actually paying cash for it since we're out of points...

We took my cousin last year for a 6 night stay at CCV in Feb. and it was like 322 pts - and we're taking her again next March for the same amount of points and he was hoping that we'd have more pts for "us"...

I mentioned to him that my plan "in the future" was to purchase another 50 pt contract through Disney to get us at 300pts so when/if we did need a 2 br it wouldn't eat all of our years points plus some..

HE DIDNT EVEN FLINCH!

But, I can do that right - I thought that the agent we worked with (who has since left) mentioned that we could do the 50 pt add on "then" since it was so close to our initial purchase but can I add another 50 pts now or do they require a minimum purchase amount that's higher than 50 pts when you add through Disney?

haha, I enjoyed the "didn't even flinch" comment.

So on Saturday, we are pulling into the local Target parking lot, my wife gets a call from Anaheim and next thing I know she is talking to Terry, a DVC guide, about either adding to our existing AKL and/or getting on the list to talk about the new VGF when they go on sale. And I guess I did not flinch... she is always two steps ahead of me

You can totally add on 50 points whenever you'd like. I'm already looking at add-on contracts and we just bought 300 in December and another 150 in January, but we usually need two bedroom units, so the points go quickly!

Once you are a member you can add on the minimum, at CCV it is 50 points, at SSR, OKW, BCV, BWV, VB, HHI, BLT and VGF it is 25 points
