Buy now for November Vacation?

We are looking at going to WDW November 25th - Dec 1st.

If we buy now at SSR, what are the chances of booking a 1 bedroom at VWL for that week?

If we buy a resale that has 39 points available now and 150 coming on 8/1/08, we can borrow those points for this trip correct?

You would be able to borrow the '08 points for that trip. I would be surprised if a 1 bedroom is even available at VWL for that week, even now. My guess is that you would be staying at SSR for that trip.

That's kind of what i thought. The timeshare store says about 2 months to close. So if we buy now and close by august 1st, we will still be able to get a 1 or 2 bedroom at SSR for that week? Or am I too late already?

I know that is a popular time for DVC'rs.

my guied told me even if i ordered today and it took how ever long to close. i could book new vacation now and even go on it befor it all closed.

disney she is a grate guied and has said she will help me get best out of my dvc any time i want to plan a trip call her and she can help me but ya it was though disney.. i kinda dont know about all this resell stuff? its confusing

If you were to book right now, you are only 5 months out from your November trip. That being the Sunday after Thanksgiving (and week following) I would say it would be difficult, though not impossible.

You would need to be flexible with both your room size and resort choice, however. You may also need to use the Wait List in order to get your dates.

If you have your heart set on going, I would book a resort through CRO and then try for an MS reservation when you have closed and are in the system for booking. That will put you only 3 months away from the dates and will not be easy. At least you would have a cash reservation that you could use if your heart was set on going at that time.

When you purchase direct through Disney, your Guide may be able to make arrangments for you on a special basis with your first reservation. That is probably what Jade is referring to.

um my november trip is in cali not florda and the lady said id be abel to get a room there excpicaly that week she was like thats a relly good time.. and its my bday so im happy.
I am gona try the disney land resort (my son will like the pool better)

also i have a resvation another way but the lady has talked me in to canceling it since its off site and this will work better and be abel to use the half points i have to.

I think that's a legitimate thing to do. That's a very busy time at all DVC resorts, and the available units is probably already slim at VWL, if they exist at all. It is the smallest DVC resort, and that is a very popular season for folks staying there. We were able to change our OKW ressie to a different size unit for that week, but OKW is a lot bigger than VWL.
