But Rhett! Where Shall I Go? What Shall I do? Frankly, m'dear... a MAY 2010 PTR

Actually, I am uploading the lunch pictures from my phone right now. I will post my report on the Mayer thread in a few minutes - I don't want to hijack your thread here. Ha ha! Sea

Oh yeah, right, Sea, like we have nothing better to talk about.:rolleyes1
Sooooooo- have you done a WFL update today???popcorn::
:rotfl:

Deluxe! 2010!!!!!!!!!!

:lmao:

It would be an utter shame to let that code die a painful death.

Don't worry -- It's Deluxe for 2010 all the way baby!!!!!!!!!!!!! :thumbsup2:lmao:

I knew I could count on you to chime in on all of your resort experiences.:goodvibes You have eaten at a lot of places-- lucky thing.

Okay- so I have a question- I know you think that the CP is probably the best buffet in WDW- which is the worst you've eaten at?

I still can't believe we were at POFQ at the same time and never saw one another as small as that place was.

You've definitely made me want to go to Olivia's. Maybe one day.:goodvibes

OPR-- when I went in there it was so crowded we had to wait for a table.:rotfl2: But that was that October where EVERYWHERE was very crowded. Or maybe I just went at the most popular time.

Thanks for your awesome review!

Yep, we get around! :rotfl:

Hmm. . . worst buffet -- going to have to go with either Hollywood & Vine or 1900 Park Fare as far as the food. Probably 1900 PF. Worst service at a buffet - Cape May.

Yes, you should definitely give Olivia's a try one day soon. :thumbsup2 I think it's one of Disney's little hidden treasures that not many people know about.

OPR - that's funny. I have never seen that place crowded. There are always short lines and lots of empty tables when we go. Of course you know we travel in the off season and we also usually don't eat at peak hours, so maybe that's it.

Oooh, witing patiently for the TR!! You are more than welcome to post your TR link here in this PTR. That goes for all of my readers!:goodvibes

I tried to PM all those that said they would read, but I was getting lost with names
Anyhow pimping out this PTR to bring to you my TR link

I'm still sorting out photobucket- so you'll have to wait on pics :(
Please come join me - as some of you know this is a HUGE step for me.

Okay- 1900 Park Fare.....but was Prince Charming----- Charming???? Or was he yucky??:rotfl:

Olivia's -- yes. Must do one day. Maybe soon!:)

OPR--- weird.- I even stood in line for the muffins for 15 minutes. You just never know I guess- but remember that trip for us was very crowded, and I was so upset and bewildered at the crowds everwhere.

Aw, drakes- we know this is a big step for you. We're here to help you, er, push you along.

We need some mouse dust, badly.
Thanks for posting the link.

Everyone go see Drakes TR.:surfweb:

Yes, I'm being big bossy like your older sister that you hated as a child.

:rotfl2:

It's what I do best.

:rolleyes1

:goodvibes They don't own a feather duster either as far as I know, after seeing the dust on the hidden mickey coat rack at CBR.

Maybe they get to say if they'll dust- or vaccuum when they're hired?

Personally i'd check the "I don't do toilets" box on my resume, but hey- whatever floats your boat.

well, just 'cuz I don't like buffets doesn't mean I don't like to hear about them. :rotfl2: Gotta know what I'm missing.

The GF cafe--- that has me intrigued. Tell me more. Don't hear a lot about it ever really.

oooh- no wild antics at WCC for breakfast! yay! That is interesting for sure....

Thanks for sharing your experiences!
Waiting to hear the rest on the Ever so Popular TR!;)

So resort restaurants, huh?

We did the Pop food court, the asian food option. It was OK, but DFJohn was burping KungPao Beef all afternooon. Breakfast on our last day was average. It's a food court.

We did Chef Mickey's. The character interaction was fantastic, but the food was one step up from Golden Corral. We won't be there again anytime soon.

We did Boma. Very good, very different. We probably would've enjoyed it more but the kids just about passed out in their soup! They had a soup bar that was incredible, I could've just done that.

We did Olivia's for breakfast. :cloud9::cloud9:
LOVE LOVE LOVE Olivia's, but don't tell anyone. I don't want it to become crowded and popular.

That's all I've got for now. Ya'll stop on by TR and say hey!

Okay - resort dining...I've done some, but not much.

POR
Ate most breakfasts at counterservice. Very good and very filling! Had a lunch there too, but my stepsister ran to get it for me and just brought back a burger combo, so don't know much more about it. We were always able to find a place to sit, and though the lines looked long, they always moved at a decent pace, so nothing to complain about.

Had dinner at Boatwright's (TS) one night. We had cancelled a 5:00 p.m. WCC since my parents took a trip to the KSC with my brother and didn't think they'd be back in time. We had a great server who chatted with us about being a CM and life in Orlando, and also made great meal suggestions. I find in Disney unless the food is horrible, the CM's make all the difference! :thumbsup2

POFQ - went here specifically for the beignets and was disappointed. I had read all about them on here before going, and when I had them I was not impressed. Being from Ottawa, home of the Beaver Tail, I know that deep-fried dough sprinkled with sugar can be a thousand times better than what I got handed at POFQ. Other than that, it seemed like a decent counterservice place. The oversized French Quarter clown-type faces freaked me out a bit, but I was fine if I didn't look up :goodvibes

Poly - had lunch at Kona Cafe. The pulled-pork tacos were SOOO GOOD!!! :cloud9: I would definitely go here again, and I think I would keep it for a lunch - I remember deciding on lunch here after reading the two menu offerings.

Grand Floridian - counterservice (Gasparilla's) not good. I know that GF has a bunch of TS restaurants (2 of them signature, and 1 not on DDP), but is it really sooo much to ask for a decent counterservice? The arcade and indoor tables for it are in the same place, so it's noisy inside. There are some very nice tables just outside at the marina, and it's a good view for Wishes with a hot chocolate though. I'm pretty sure it's the not-so-sweet counterservice that sold me on not staying at GF again.

I'm headed on vacation for a week - this heat-deprived Canadian is headed down to Mexico for some sun and sand!! Have a great week everyone and I look forward to catching up with y'all when I get back! :cool1: :cool2: :cool1:

I'm in with the cool kids :thumbsup2

That pic of the dust on the coat rack was classic, one of those taboo disney topics.

Toilet scrubbing... train your children young, squirting the toilet bowl cleaner becomes fun! :rotfl:

Oh and I did update ! I'm liking the whole TR thing, I learnt how to post pics, multi quote, and hyperlink text! I am a nerd, I like my chapter links

Ooooh- I wanna go back to Mexico!!!!! Hope you have a wonderful trip and are safe!

Let's see-- Boatwrights--- you never really hear much about this place. I'd like to try it the next time we stay at POFQ and can walk to it.

The GF- hot chocolate and Wishes sounds like a bit of heaven.:cloud9:

Thanks for your reviews---- see ya when you get back!

:rotfl: I have finally taught Drew how to properly scrub a toilet-- and thankfully he has his own Bathroom b/c little boys and toilets for some reason known only to God--- they don't play nicely together.

The pic of the dust---- I have to find it and post it again b/c it was indeed classic.

:lmao:
