Busy in September

I am curious..... We received a post card for the $49 rate a few weeks ago and booked Pop Century for the end of September for 5 nights. I thought wow what a great deal and the kids will be back in school so the wife and I would have a great non busy trip. Since then I have seen the $55 rate AZZ, received a email about the $49 rate, heard various other rates and then just this morning I open up my newspaper and there is a big add for the $49 rate EWJ plus it was in the USA weekend insert yet again. All the rates seem to be only good for Aug 29 thru Sept 29 so now I am wondering was Disney that empty that they are pushing this much too fill up one month and if so I wonder how busy it is going to be now???

Hopefully, the multiple discount offers means there weren't enough "takers" to earlier ones and that this bodes well for those of us going in Sept. We get great rates and have smaller crowds. :) However, since I haven't been to WDW yet, I don't know if this type of snowballing discount offers is unusual but I do remember reading that last Sept. there were no AP rates. I'm gonna look at this in a "glass half full" way and hope the parks are equally filled as the glass :teeth:

remmeber 2 years ago when they had the ultimate FTP ..the
buy 3 get 4 free...or vice versa...
We had already bought ressies for Halloween that year....which
is a slower part of seasons thinking we'd be all set.....Then we got worried when this phenominal deal came out....

All and all when we got there you could hardly tell if there were alot more people there than what you had expected...

dont sweat it .....Everyone isnt buying ressies for the same week you are goiung.....thats what we thought....OMG everyone is gonna come the same week we are......but think about what time span this deal covers...

We've been to disney during labor day week, some years back, when my girls were younger in elem school, when taking them out of school isn't too big a deal. The attendance right after labor day was fantastic. As a matter of fact, the crowds everywhere,Orlando,Kissimee,Universal, were all down to a pleasant minimum.
But now that my girls are older,we now go in Oct,during their fall break from school. The crowds so far, have been very minimal, and everywhere else is a lot less crowded too.(It's almost like you wish there were more people around where you go,but of course you don't,cause you're lovin it).
But on to the discount.
I received an e mail from disney advertising a $49 a night rate at the value resorts, which does include our time of stay, oct 9-17.I had previously made reserv through an online service, including my AAA discount, but was still going to have to pay $751.00 for the week. But when disney sent me the e mail, for a better rate,I called this service at their 1-800 number and canceled with them, explaining why,and they will credit my visa back all of my deposit,in full.
It pays to be signed up with disney online e mails and offers.Hope I've been some help.
