What time of the year is the busiest at the DVC resorts in WDW?

Does it follow the seasons detailed in the planner?

Based on difficulty to get ressies, it appears that one of the hardest times, if not the hardest time, to get is the first two weeks of December; holidays like Christmas, Easter (and to a lesser degree other spring break weeks), Thanksgiving, and Presidents Week, are also difficult; Summer other than July 4 week tends to be fairly easy to get and even July 4 can be had 6 months out; September and January are usually easy; and other times can be busy particularly if there is some event (e.g., wine festival). So the answer is generally no, it does not follow the typical season breakdown. It tends instead to follow what you might see from savvy owners, who are repeat customers to WDW: when they must live by school break times, holidays are biggies with the heat of summer being a choice but more avoided. When they don't have to live by school break times, they go for lower point times and particularly those that offer special events with the biggie being Christmas decorations and events in early December.

I think the absolute busiest time is the period from Christmas through New Year's. It is the only time period I ever called for at the 11 month window and didn't get exactly what I wanted right away.

From my personal experience Beach Club Villas does seem to be hard to get in the summer time if you don't have the 11 month booking advantage.

Happy birthday Cat - that may just be the DVC system - not that time is particular popular among DVC members.

DVC use to think that time Christmas to NY would be the most popular - and they make us use a lottery system to get the different resorts.

they did away with that several years ago - because the DEMAND was never that great.

However I think their system is still trying to use it (lottery system).

However I agreed completely with the Dec 1- 14 (low point, low crowds - DVC member love it - me included!!!!)

BWV standard view can be hard just about anytime - but holidays, food/wine festavial, flower and garden festavial it is just about impossible.

SC: I answered as I did because the question was:
What time of the year is the busiest at the DVC resorts in WDW?

I still think that week between Christmas and New Year's is the busiest at DVC resorts. Now if the question was what is the most popular time for DVC members I would have to agree with you that it is probably the first couple of weeks of December.

Christmas, Easter and July 4th always seem to be very crowded.

The parks are always jammed on July 4th. Wait a couple of days, and usually around July 6th they have cleared out.:sunny:
