Bush - Worst President Ever?

That's EXACTLY my point.

These are all unregulated industries, yet they didn't go completely through the roof until Bush came into power - Why? Just a coincidence?

As for my income, it hasn't gone up drastically, but my refund in April sure has gone down as such. Don't know who's to blame for that. Perhaps, HR Block?
The economy, supply and demand, things like that. Please explain to me how the President is to blame with regard to health care and home heating? I believe industries should remain unregulated, so I don't really want the government stepping in. There is enough government in my life now, thank you.

As for your taxes, maybe your income adjustment was enough to move you into the next tax bracket? :confused3

I just think you read something that sounded "good" to you, but you really didn't think these things through.

Yes things are not wonderful, but the President doesn't work in a bubble, other people are involved as well, like Congress.

Georgie started office with a terrorist threat to his country

Please refer to our President and the Office with respect, or don't bother replying.

It actually sickens me. I didn't vote for Presient Clinton, but I respected him and the Office. He wasn't perfect, and he wasn't the worst President in history. The truth always lies somewhere in between. The same can be said of President Bush if people would remove the hatred in their hearts and look at it objectively.

So true. What happened to respect for the President? I watched TV coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and it was SO obvious the guy interviewing one of the Katrina survivors was trying to coach her into saying it was Bush's fault. She kept telling him that she didn't blame Bush for the response, that it was a natural disaster and that no one could have foreseen the widespread destruction the storm would cause. He was like a dog with a piece of steak. He would not let it go. I have had enough of the liberal media putting their spin on everything Bush related. What happened to reporting the news and leaving it at that? What other President in history has faced the challenges he has faced so far in his Presidency? I am not saying that I support everything that he has done. But the worst President in history? Come on.

Like I said, I didn't write that article. Hell, I don't even know what half of it means.

I have no idea what all those things have to do with the president. I just know, since he's been president, they've all increased. :confused3

Are you referring to the President of the United States, a free country?

PARIS -- President John F. Kennedy was considered a historian because of his book "Profiles in Courage," so he received periodic requests to rate the presidents, those lists that usually begin "1. Lincoln, 2. Washington ..."

But after he actually became president himself, he stopped filling them out.

"No one knows what it's like in this office," he said after being in the job. "Even with poor James Buchanan, you can't understand what he did and why without sitting in his place, looking at the papers that passed on his desk, knowing the people he talked with."

This is a very good quote from President Kennedy. No one can understand why he does things without being in his place. Now, I'm not making excuses for him. I voted for him and I don't agree with everything he's done, but people need to stop and think before they jump all over him. Will he be remembered as the worst President? In my opinion I think he will be. The saying goes, history is written by the victors...but in this situation, history is written by the intellectuals, and most cases, they're liberal. I'm not saying they're extreme or not, but liberal...in my opinion.

He has sacrificed American employment

OMG..I forgot the best one. The FRENCH are preaching to me about unemploment!?!?! That's precious.

Not to get nitpicky, but it's not Rich's President.

Are you referring to the President of the United States, a free country?

Yes, I realize he's from England, and yes he has the freedom to sat whatever he likes. And I have the freedom to ask that he respects our President and the Office.

OK. Just as long as you realize he doesn't have to.

A bit touchy, but 'k. Please excuse my Britishness; over here, our Prime Minister is treated as an equal and is usually referred to in conversation as "Tony" or "Ton'"

Actually no one HAS to, not even Americans if they choose not to. I'm sure some people who get irritated by others calling the current president "W" or Georgie still call, or have called President Clinton by not so flattering nicknames. It works both ways. Either you call all of them President (insert last name), or you treat all of them informally. If one deserves respect, they all do.

Sorry to go off topic, but what network was this, and which reporter? I'd be interested to know. I've always been a little leary of the "liberal media" claim, myself.

A lot of things increase over time. :) Hey remember when a candy bar was like 25 cents???? :teeth:

I thought this sounded familiar! Thought it was the original one at first. Oh well, it isn't the first time this happened and I'm sure it won't be the last.

That's my fault - I apologize. I was just using the same header as was listed on yahoo news.

Sorry about that.

Sadly, I do.

Maybe I believe too much of what a good speaker says. Though I didn't like John Kerry, I remember watching the debates and thinking to myself, "Damn - He's got a point. That's affected me as well."

It was ABC. Sorry, but I don't remember the reporter's name. He was new.
If I see him again and come across his name, I will be sure to let ya know.

He was interviewing a group of people outside the Astrodome immediately after President Bush's speech about Hurricane Katrina. This was the speech he taped in New Orleans right after the storm.

Personally, I don't think there are any great leaders out there, and I am sick of the bloated goverment. But hey that's just me. The Democratic and Republican parties are too much alike for my liking. And while I am a registered Republican, the party is no longer one I truly identify with, but I don't identify with the Democratic party either. I lean toward Libertarianism, but somehow I don't see goverment staying out of our lives.

:rotfl: So now a lack of personal responsibility is the President's fault?
