Bush was right!!!

I'm not a very political person & with this whole Iraq thing, well, I guess I'm hoping that It'll just go away - wishful thinking huh??? Anyway, here's my view on Iraq & nothing being found -

We gave Saddam about 6 monthes to either hide or get rid of everything.

Just like me, if I know you're coming, I'll clean my house & if I know my grandparents are coming, I'll even get the beer out of the refrigerator.:)

If given enough time, anything can be hidden::yes::

Judging by the various ROFL smilies, you don't know much about the FT, do you?

Quoting from the Butler report,
In preparing the dossier, the UK consulted the US. The CIA advised caution about any suggestion that Iraq had succeeded in acquiring uranium from Africa but agreed that there was evidence it had been sought.

I would note that the evidence that it had been sought by Iraq has nothing to do with the documents now considered forgeries.

The report also notes that President Bush's State of the Union statement that "The British Government has learned that Saddam Hussein recently sought significant quantities of uranium from Africa," was "well-founded."

In short, the report says that there is considerable evidence that Saddam sought uranium from Africa. There is no evidence to suggest that he reached a deal with Niger (though the report does go on to say there is evidence that he did conclude a deal with the Democratic Republic of Congo).

At least people responded to your post. I posted this news yesterday, with a breakdown on the major points & link to the actual report. I had alot of people look at the post, but nobody responded. I had hope the liberals would have apologized for accusing the President of lying, concerning the connection of Iraq/Niger. Oh well, at least he was vindicated

Couldn't agree with you more. Nothing in the mainstream media today. Call a spade a spade finally....

Jimbo,

Please tell us about the FT. Some may not be interested, but I am.

I wasn't wrong..you just can't seem to get it through your head that 5 articles quoting the same source isn't the same as 5 independant articles coming to the same conclusion. I quit responding to you because you sent insulting PM's that looked like a 12 year old wrote them.

And you've proven nothing but that the brits still believe in the intel, which nobody has ever disputed. The FACT is that our own services disproved their intel...but now they supposedly have something more credible ?

Is that the same service that got it so wrong as stated in the report the Senate oversight committee just released the other day?

Hmmm...

The same OVERSIGHT committee that didn't catch on the first time that the info from the CIA was incorrect?

Yep, the media cant stand it. Thanks to both of you for the info and the post.

To the person who posted this info yesterday, I appologize, I did not see it yesterday.;)

Our intelligence services discovered that the belief about the "yellow cake" was based largely on forged documents.

See the link below for more detail.

MSN Story on the yellow cake

BTW...I wasn't the only one saying that the president shouldn't have used that intel due to it's spurious nature...So was the former director of the CIA (but I'm sure the "Financial Times" knows more than he does :rotfl: ) George Tenet said that "those 16 words" should not have appeared in the president's speech, since the intel was deemed "highly dubious"...This straight from the NY Times (which, again, pales in comparison to that bastion of journalism, the London Financial Times :hyper: )

Whatever you do, I'm begging you, continue to never let the facts get in the way of your opinions. It's one of the few things we can count on.:hyper:

Seems to me that Wvrevy presented news articles on the subject.

You, on the other hand, only presented opinion.

Wowzers! Isn't that odd!

So these are the Facts: 1 - No WMD ever found, 2 - Bush reported what British Intellgence reported, 3 - The same report says no single person was to blame for the "seriously flawed" intelligence used to justify the Iraq war, 4 - no connection exists between Iraq and Al Qaeda, 5 - a great number of military died. yes, and they are.

As for the names of the faleen soldiers. Of course it is sad. But, they signed up knowing that in order to preserve our way of life, war & death were a real possibility. While I thank them & honor them for fighting this just & noble fight, they understood the risks.

Where is the list of all of the innocent americans & israeles killed by terrorists (which Iraq & many other middle eastern nations funded). I am still amazed at how blind people really are.:(

They signed up to be sent to foreign lands to fight needless wars? Sounds like lack of responsibility of the administration that sent him and of those that support that administration.

To preserve our way of life? Iraq threatened our way of life? Hmmm... Have any proof for that one?
