Yet another reason to vote for G-Dub...

They are not only attractive but they are independent, well educated women.

Kerry's daughters are lovely, too, I think:

and Edwards' little boy is downright adorable:

I think for pure attractiveness, the Bush girls have it over the Kerry gals..they look a little too, how do I say this nicely? long in the face

Sorry, the Bush girls are just better looking. Kerry always sort of reminds me of Frankenstein or something. And his daughters do resemble them. Poor kids, getting drug thru the media.

The Bush daughters are lovely and seem to have settled down since becoming college-bound. I felt so sorry for the Bush's when the media seemed to hound them 4 years ago. Geez...any of us that have teenage girls couldn't possibly raise them without some skeletons in the closet--at that age they needed to experiment just like any other 16 or 17 yo.

The only negative I see now is that each is being "courted" by some worldly guys....sure would like to see them be on their own for awhile.

Wasn't there some whining on another thread about how ridiculous it was to vote for someone based on their looks?

Wouldn't that apply to their children as well?

After years of insisting that their daughter's lives be off limits and private, it's funny that the Bush's decide to drag their girls into the campaign. I'm sure all the media attention Edward's children have been getting has nothing to do with it.

Given a choice, I'd say Edward's two kids beat the Bush girls hands down....and I bet they're better behaved.;)

Of course they wanted their daughters left alone while they were in college - who wouldn't? And I'd love to see your source for the notion that the Bush's dragged their daughters into the campaign.

BTW, the announcement that the Bush daughters were going to take part in the Presidential campaign was made long before Senator Edwards was even named as the VP nominee.

Yup, the girls look lovely in those pics, they are both beautiful girls. I've always sort of gotten the "nice house, nobody home' impression with those two though. Poor things, its really not fair for me to say that, but I get the same feeling from their Dad.

Not that it would sway my vote either way. George Clooney could get adopted by the Bush family, and Bush still wouldn't get my vote.

Personally, I would like to see some of them in uniform, in Iraq. If this war is so just, so necessary for our survival, why are they not rushing to join this noble cause?

Would that include the Kerry children, or just the Bush children?

Geeze....This is going to be a nasty election when people resort to degrading the candidates children.

Okay then, change it from insisting on hands off privacy to "allowing" them to join the campaign.

I guess you're privy to news I'm not, but at any rate, they haven't paraded them in front of the cameras until after Edward's children showed up. Coincidence? I think not.

Still, the point remains....

Wasn't there some whining by Republicans that it was ridiculous to vote for someone based on their looks?

::yes:: And when they do that, George Bush will get my vote! I don't look to be changing my party affiliation anytime soon.

both, that is why I used the phrase "some of them". Everyone got so bent out of shape about Moore saying none had sons or daughters in the war when it was learned that one did.....somehow the fact that it is still ONLY ONE slipped under the radar.

Certainly not the first time. Chelsea Clinton, and especially Amy Carter, were criticized ruthlessly for their looks. Those girls must have had some powerful self esteem to have gotten over the beatings they took from the press.

All of the children are seem to be nice, sweet children. What's sad is how bipartisan even the opinions of the kids can be. I remember as far back as Caroline and John John Kennedy and the Johnson daughters how people would make comments about the looks and demeanor of the children. Ronnie Reagan's sexuality was questioned, poor Chelsea Clinton was dragged over the coals... I can't imagine having my chlid go through what these kids went through.

I agree Snoopy. I find it disgusting. It doesn't matter which side of the aisle it comes from. At some point right is right and wrong is wrong. It's not dependant on whether you're a democrat talking about a republican or a republican talking about a democrat.

I'll take that bet.

Actually, there was some talk about this the other day on television..

All reports are that they are extemely well behaved, especially considering their ages.
