Buses to Winter Summerland when BB closed

Staying at AKL; the bus to DHS stops at BB. When BB is closed in early 2010 for refurbishment, will the buses still stop there for resort guests who want to go to Winter Summerland, or is that closed also?

The buses will not stop there if BB is closed. A cab from AKL would probably run $8-10, so that might be a good option.

I have to agree that a taxi will be the easiest option.

But if you want to get to BB with WDW Transportation you can take a bus to Epcot and then transfer to the CSR bus. These buses run till 11:00 PM even when BB is closed for refurbishment.

To return, you have to go back to Epcot and then transfer to the AKL bus.

Hint: when doing something like this always tel the driver. Depending on the circumstances, he might be able to "make a little magic".

Thanks, I was asking on behalf of another DISer!

I remember on several trips in early 07 and 08 where the bus went into BB even though it was clearly closed for rehab; and those of us on the bus were totally perplexed - although I guess we could have asked the driver why!!

When we stayed at the CSR in February 2008. BB was closed but a least three or four times (out going and incoming) our bus took a swing over to Winter Summerland to drop off/pick up folks.

Jow much do you think it will be for a family of 4 to get to BB from POP??

To save on taxi fare if you really want to mini-putt, you could try the Fantasia course across from the Swan/Dolphin. We just take a bus from DTD to the Swan/Dolphin/Boardwalk and walk across to use the mini putt when we don't have a car and BB is closed.
