Quick question. How early do buses start running to the resorts (all star movies) for Cinderella's Breakfast. Is 8:05 pushing it to get to the breakast?

Thanks for any help on this.

We stayed at at AKL last July and had a 50% success rate for catching an early bus for our 2 character breakfasts.

On the first attempt, we had an 8:05 am at CP. We were at our bus stop by 7:15 and were promptly picked up! Made it to the MK in record time and had to wait outside the gates til they let us in. Awesome! :sunny:

Two days later, we had early ressies for CM, so we planned to take the MK bus and just monorail up to CR with time to spare. We got out to our bus stop again by 7:10am and we waited and waited. What really annoyed me was that buses for AK were coming and going with no passengers (duh, the AK didn't open til 9 that morning!!) and no MK buses were coming. I approached the drivers of the AK buses and asked if they could contact someone and have a MK bus sent. No luck. FINALLY, an MK bus came. We had waited 45 minutes and were late for our ADR. The bus driver was very kind and actually dropped us off directly at CR. All the other families were late for their ADR's for CP and the Castle. :furious:

So, I recommend you drive if possible, but if you are taking a bus, start your wait early. ::MickeyMo

See, this is something that I feel Disney needs to rectify. You read many reports where the buses were there at 7:15AM, and there was no problem. Then, there's other reports where the buses didn't start until 8:00, and people missed their ADR's (happened to us.)

To me, the bottom line is, if Disney starts having character breakfasts at 7:00AM, as they do with Chef Mickey's, they should have buses to the resorts at scheduled times to pick guests up. This would not be difficult.

Here's my solution:

Each night before you have an early morning ADR, simply go to the concierge at your resort. Tell them what time you have a breakfast and where. They then tell you what time to be outside at the bus stop and the bus will be there. This way, buses aren't showing up early in the morning with noone to pick up, and noone is just sitting there waiting for a bus that never shows up.

I am a little nervous about this as we have a 8:05 am CP ADR on a day that MK opens at 9am - it is our first time staying at POP so I don't know much about the bus - should I plan on a taxi???? I hate to have that extra expense...

We stayed at All Star Movies last week and had 8AM reservations for Cinderella's Royal Table on Friday morning. We went out to the bus stop at 7AM and were picked up with-in 10 minutes. We ended up waiting outside the Magic Kingdom for about 15 minutes before they let us in. Same thing happened on Monday morning for our 8AM breakfast reservations for Donald's at Animal Kingdom. We had no problems at all with the buses.

I'm with the others who have always had a successful bus trip for early character breakfasts. sometimes the busses will run as early as 6:45, but that's mainly for those with very early reservations at Chef Mickey's.

If you're at the bus stop by 7, you should be just fine, unless something *really* goes wrong with the system.

From my experience, the MK gates will not open until 8. At that point, everyone with 8:05, 8:10, 8:20, 8:30 reservations all head straight to their restaurant, so the first half hour or so of seating can be a little chaotic.

(This is also how one might get seated early - just go to the restaurant at opening, and they normally don't worry a whole lot about the exact time of your PS.)

Taking a cab might actually delay you, since you'll have to transfer via the TTC. If you decide to do that, my suggestion would be to walk over to the Poly and catch the resort monorail to MK. It's about a ten minute walk from TTC, and very pleasant if the weather is nice.
