I'd like to hear some expert advice on touring tips at Busch Gardens in Tampa. In what order do you think we should do these rides/attractions? Which ones usually have the largest lines and what should we hit up first (we will be there when the park opens.)?

We definitely want to do all of the roller coasters (Sheikra, Gwazi, Kumba, Montu, Scorpion, Cheetah Chase). The water rides aren't necessary, unless you think it's "must see" attraction.

Katonga sounds like a good show to see. Are any others worthwhile?

How about Rhino Rally and Serengeti Railway? Which animal areas are the best?

What goes on at the Brewmaster's Club? That sounds kind of interesting too.

Sorry for all of the questions! Thanks in advance for any advice and tips!!

You should go to Sheikra first. It has the longest line and in the morning there is nobody there. By the afternoon that ride is always out of the entrance.
Montu,Kumba,Gwazi maybe about a 10-15 min wait.
Dont waste your time with the log flume. You wait about 30-45 min and you dont even get wet.If your going to do a water ride to Tidal wave or Congo.

Kotonga is a VERY good show.I love it. Everytime we bring new people to Busch gardens we always take them to see katonga and after the show they were like wow that was good.

Rhino rally usually has a long line but if its short go on it. Its not worth like a 30 min wait because the past couple of times we went the water portion of the ride wasn't working. So if you are going to ride it ask to see if the water part is working.
The train is a great way to see the animals. If you also want to see lions, giraffes, zebra, hippos go to Edge of Africa. There is one entrance by the skyride and one by montu by the bathrooms.
Have Fun! :)

Whatever shows may be playing at the Desert Grille or the Marekesh Theater during your visit should be worth seeing. We were very impressed by Men of Note, Irish Thunder, and Rock A Doo Wop during our visit. Also, Critter Castaways is a very good animal show at the Bird Gardens Theater. It has a myriad of animals that you don't often see trained to perform including several free flying birds. KaTonga is the best show I've ever seen at a theme park. I liked it more than The Lion King at Animal Kingdom.

When we were there last August, we rode all the roller coasters first, then took our time to see the animals and other attractions. We missed most of the shows because we were at the wrong end of the park at showtimes. It was a lovely day. We ate a late supper at the Crown Colony restaurant with a table looking right on the savannah. It was wonderful, and not nearly as expensive as we thought it might be. It was amazing to watch the giraffes at sunset!

You can head over to SheiKra when it opens and try to get on it early, but it also might have a shorter wait later on too...

All the roller coasters are a must see and usually don't have a wait longer than 30 min, cheetah chase might be a 45 min thought... Some of the flat rides in timbuctu might be worth a taking a spin on, and depending on when you go Jungala would be worth visiting.

Busch is currently rotating the other shows but generally the show in the Desert Grill is a fun show to watch.

Rhino rally is best if the water portion is working, otherwise it can get a little boring. the Serengeti railway is best in the late morning or evening when the animals are more active.

It is fabulous! I did it one day after i turned 21 and you get to sample 3 different alcoholic beverages made by Busch, you get taught on what it goes with best, and how it is best dranken...

I will be going to Busch Gardens for the first time next week and wondered if anyone had any updated information or input on how best to tour the park. I hate lines, so a good plan is always a must for me.

next week should not be that much of a problem, I think k-12 is still in session so monday through friday wont be that bad (unless they have friday off, I am not sure)

for the most part just hit what you feel like.. SheiKra having a 30 min wait is not bad and the line will move.
