Last time we were at WDW in 2007, I thought we always had to take a bus to a resort to hop to a different park...is this different now? We have several days that we might hop directly from park to park without returning to the resort first, and I am wondering if the transportation does this, and how often these busses might run...or...if it is quicker to hop to a nearnby resort and catch a bus to another park that way.

Thanks for any info!

To our knowledge there is not a bus route that goes from park-to-park. What we do (for example) is if you are at MK hop on the monorail to one of the resorts on the beam and then take a bus to DHS or AK. If you are going to EPCOT then just get off at the TTC and change trains to the EPCOT beam.
If you are at DHS, AK, or EPCOT take a bus to the closest resort and then take another bus to the other parks. Depending on the length of time between buses it could be a short wait or long.
I will say that we have gotten the park hopper passes in the past and have only used them to go to a park where we had dinner then watched the fireworks shows late then back to the resort.

There is direct park to park transportation, and has been for quite a few years.

Absolutely correct.

I have not known this...wish we knew it for the last trip...Where do you get the bus? I ahve only ever noticed the bus stops going to the resorts outside the parks, but then again have never looked for anything else. Any more info on this?

Try this link and see if it helps.

Simply run your finger across the top to the park you are leaving, then come down until it intersects with the park you are traveling to.(Still working on the resort to resort portion)

There has always been some type of transportation from one park to another, not neccearrily busses.
For example, from the MK to DHS, you would take a monorail to TTC first, then a bus. From Epcot to MK you wold take a monorail to TTC then transfer to the express monorail or ferry.

Its the resort to resort that has no direct transportation unless youare at the 5 Epcot Resorts, or the 3 MK Resorts.

Busses are advertised to run every 20 minutes, but for the most part are less than that, up to every 5 minutes depending on where you are going and time of year.

Dpeneds on what park you are at.DTD had a test bus for a while as well as MK, but they did away with it.
From the MK youd have to go to TTC for the park to park busses. From AK, DHS, and Epcot, look for the main sign that tells you where each bus stops, then walk to that loadzone. Wish I could put numbers in for each area, but they get changed too often.

When going from the Magic Kingdom - Epcot take the Express Monorail or boat to the TTC, then take the Epcot Monorail.

When going Epcot - Magic Kingdom, take the Epcot Monorail to the TTC and from there take the Express Monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom.

There is also a direct bus for Epcot - Hollywood Studios and vice versa, Epcot - Animal Kingdom and vice versa, Hollywood Studios - Animal Kingdom and vice versa.

Finally when going from the Magic Kingdom to Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom, take the Express Monorail or boat to the TTC and from there get on a bus to either location. Also when going from those parks to the Magic Kingdom, take the bus to the TTC and from there take the Express Monorail or boat to the Magic Kingdom.

WOW! Thanks!

Thanks everyone for the info!
