Bus service from the mods?

Hi,

Can anyone tell me more about the speed of the bus service from the mods? How long do you generally wait? How many stops you can expect? Etc.

I know POFQ also stops at POR but that is all the info I can find. Do the other mods get their own buses?

I am not sure on the time of year yet but now we are thinking maybe President's week. If it's too expensive, we'll do a long weekend off peak, possibly the weekend before President's.

Thanks!

I stayed at CSR but it was a long time ago. I remember just one bus. And don't recall how many stops.

We stayed at POR last year and there were four stops. It wasn't bad at all on the way to the parks. For whatever reason, on the way home, after fireworks, etc. the bus was packed. There were a few times that we took a POFQ bus and walked home instead of waiting on the long lines!

If you are asking about the bus service because you are trying to decide between different resorts the answer is really that they are all the same. Somebody will report a great experience and the next will report horrible experiences. It doesn't matter which resort (or even level of resort) they all get the same bus service.

OKW Lover is correct. Each resort is different. Each resort can have great bussing and bad bussing. Irrespective of resort level.

You can see the various bus stops at each resort on the Resort Maps.

Speed of bus service varies by time of day and time of year (depends a lot on number of people using the bus), not just which resort. When demand is very heavy (peak seasons, park opening/closing) extra buses are added to try to meet demand and will come more frequently.

POFQ and POR sometimes share buses, but not always. The other mods have their own buses.

I've stayed at 3 of the mods and basically service all boils down to about the same. I wouldn't pick a particular mod because of bus transportation.

I have found that during peak periods POFQ gets it's own bus. I've stayed there over Spring Break and the 4th of July, and the bus service was stellar. I've also stayed at POFQ in May, and then they did share busing with POR.

We were at CSR this year over Spring Break, and had great bus service there as well. There are 4 bus stops at the resort, and we were lucky enough to be in a room by the first stop, so we always had a seat on the bus.:thumbsup2

Even after saying that, I wouldn't pick a resort with busing in mind. See which one has a theme that appeals to you, and pick that one. If the pool is important, they are all very different. CSR and POR have pools that are good for older kids. CBR has a great kiddie pool, and the one at POFQ is best for small children and would probably bore older kids.

POR has imho the best food court of all the moderate resorts. The one at POFQ is good but small, and the one at CSR is different than any other resort.

Don't pick your resort on the busing alone. Every resort can have a bad day or week with the buses.
