We typically stay at POR for our vacations but have always gone in off-peak seasons. We are going for the first time during the summer next month and are wondering how the bus service is from POR during the more crowded summer months?

I haven't heard of any particular issues with bus service for this resort at any time of year.

We stayed at POR last June and never got a seat on our return trips to the resort, even in the middle of the day. Standing room only.

Its summer.

We went during Spring Break and the buses were fine. Definitely crowded sometimes, but that's to be expected. We usually had sitting room on the way to the parks rather than on the way back.

Our kids are old enough now that we don't necessarily need a seat but was wondering more about the frequency of buses leaving for the parks from the resort itself. We will have our car so we're wondering if it would make sense to drive rather than wait on a bus.

We were just there. Only waited more than 5 min for a bus from Port to animal kingdom. That wait was about 15 min. Then leaving Hollywood studios to go back to the resort at night we waited around 30 min. Not sure what happened there.

We were just there this past weekend. Getting to the parks was no problem. We never had a very long wait. Getting back from the Magic Kingdom was not good. We left in the middle of the day and there was a very long wait. At least a busload of people was left after we got on the bus. We also left Saturday evening after the fireworks and had an extremely long wait, but I think that was more to be expected than the middle of the day.

We were just there and had no issues except that you often have to stand due to the crowded buses. The buses ran often.

I think it can be important to keep in mind that it isn't as if any of the resorts has its own fleet of buses under its own control. The buses are dispatched from a central point, and the bus service is going to be whatever it is, no matter what resort you stay at. No resort consistently has better or worse bus service than any other, since no resort has any control over the dispatching of the buses. If the parks are very crowded at a busy time, then the buses will be more crowded no matter where you're going. A more important consideration would be things like how many internal bus stops are at your resort and where your bus stop is on the circuit - will you get picked up first in the morning, almost guaranteeing you a seat, or will you get picked up last, risking a full bus.
