Do the resorts give you a bus schedule?

If you are staying onsite, there really is no schedule. You go to the bus stop and wait for the next bus. Usually it is every 20-30 minutes. Some hotels have different stops for different parks, some have one stop and when the bus you want comes along, just get in line.

There isn't a set schedule. The resort staff will explain where the bus stops are located (some resorts have more than one). As the PP noted, busses are dispatched about every 20 minutes; more frequently during high seasons. If you just miss a bus and see it pulling away from your stop, you'll probably have about a 20 minute wait for the next bus to that park. Sometimes, you'll walk up to a stop, your bus is there, you get on and you'll be one of only a few passengers. They do NOT wait to fill a bus or anything like that. There are always outliers where a wait might be 30 minutes, but that's been very rare in my experience. We time our waits and typically, we wait 7-10 minutes.

For Magical Express, there is a schedule and you need to arrive for your scheduled bus.

There will be buses (or other transportation) from your resort to and from each of the theme parks. There are also buses to DTD and the water parks.

In most cases, there is no direct transportation between resorts. To get to another resort, you'll need to transfer at a theme park or DTD.

If you're in a large resort with multiple bus stops, you can also use the buses to travel around the resort, like from your room to the dining area. Just ask the bus driver if the bus is going where you want to go.

Buses start running from the resorts to the parks around 6:30 a.m. each day, until each park closes. Buses back to the resorts run until the last guest leaves each park after closing. DTD buses start around 8:30 a.m., and run thru 2 a.m.

As the PP's said, buses run about every 20 minutes, more often during peak times.
