Burning your photos to a cd

I recently installed a cd-rw with Nero software. I am having quite a problem figuring this out. Is it me or Nero? What are you all using to burn your images onto a cd? I'm about ready to give up.

BTW - What marketing genius decided to name their software "Nero"??? I mean, I get the "burning" reference, but I don't think "Nero" evokes exactly positive mental images!
