I know normally all family members need to be there to tap into LL, but what if we don't want to do the attraction or only some of us do? Can I take their bands to scan just to get rid of the LL so I can immediately book new LL? For example, I have an under 48" child and two bigger ones, for HS thinking to rope drop RnR and get rider switch, leave husband and older kids and take smaller one to ToT, then take smaller one to Frozen LL at 9:05 while husband and older kids do ToT since they are not interested in Frozem, then we meet up again after Frozen for me to do the RnR rider switch. But I don't want to wait for the Frozen LL to expire before being able to pick new options, I want to scan everyone's bands. I guess this question also assumes the rider switch allows me to go back a little later after the return time, which I'm not sure about either.

Rider Switch has always been immediate for me but I’ve used it rarely.

You can tap into Frozen and not do the attraction but I think CMs might give you a hard time if the people aren’t there.

You can also just cancel the LL for that person but that will not unlock Tier 1 LL and LL at other parks.

Go to a blue umbrella and ask them to redeem the unused LL for those that didn't ride the first one. Not to cancel it - to redeem it. They can do that.
