Well it is Saturday and I trip to the DS was not an option this morning. We awoke to 8 or more inches of the lovely white stuff. Now we have surpased 2 feet. Can you believe it!!! And it is still coming down like crazy.

So here I sit in my office, under my new Mickey desk lamp typing to all of you.

My poor doggy cant even "tinkle" she doesnt know how, its up past her tush. LOL!!! And she is a golden retriever. Imagine we would have to look for her if she were smaller. Poor baby.

The roads are horrible and all there is to do is watch dvds and stay warm. Well all keep in touch.

Digging out in Ohio

Glad we are on the other side of town! Some snow showers, but nothing like the east side!

That you two have nothing on the West side of town. Man are we getting slammed.
Its still coming down. Paul ran the snowblower again, another 4 or so on the ground. Made for some wonderful sled riding. Well at least after us adults packed down the snow. I have to tell you I am too old to be used as a snow plow. Brrrrrrrrr....snow down the jacket is cold. The kids had a blast. Then the wind kicked up and boom more snow followed. Whew!!! And I am not even in the snow belt. Imagine what Chardon is getting.

I shall keep my fingers crossed it keeps missing you West/South siders. Afterall the 70 degree weather we had two weeks ago was much better.

And on the positive side ... be glad you are not in Buffalo! 2' vs. 7'

I am not in Buffalo. Those poor people. Well it has stopped here for now. Yipppee!!! We are all dug out and going to dinner.

Catch ya later

Oh, cabin fever, huh? Sure glad you are dug out & able to get out. I remember it well from my growing up days. Lake effect snow is NO fun (except we had no school as a child). I hated shoveling it!

It's amazing what a difference a few miles can make. As I sit here on the last day of 2001, I can look out and see patches of grass poking through the snow. I dragged our snowblower out of the shed, but I haven't had to fire it up (yet).

Hope the snow lets up enough for you to make your weekly trek to the DS. Maybe next week.

I wish I would have had more snow here on the east side, folks.

Then maybe it wouldn't have cost me 55.00 to get the UHaul truck towed out of my front yard on New Year's Eve.

We bought a WDCC curio cabinet from a Hallmark store going out of business (Yippee!! I've always wanted one!!), and thought to pull it out of the truck directly into the house.

Who would've figured the ground was still so muddy/soft?
I'm just east/south of Cleveland. And I can (now) definitely see grass (and mud and bricks and shovels and...) in my front yard.

:p

Happy New Year!
Glad I did not decide to visit the Great Lakes Disney Store on Satuday! Yipes!

But Cindy, I thought Mentor WAS part of the snowbelt???
As much as I hate snow, my DD was "WISHING upon a star" for snow for Christmas.
The little dusting that we got here in Avon at least gave us a somewhat "White" Christmas.
But It would be nice to at least feel like we are getting our money's worth out of that silly snow-blower we bought last year and only used ONCE!!

Be glad you aren't in Atlanta today!! They don't know what to do!!! NO SALT, NO PLOWS!
At least here in Ohio we are prepared.
