Burger King---SOLD!

Our Burger King looks like it wasn't refurbed since the 90s, and it shows. The food is always cold, the mayo in burgers is gross and the bathrooms are beyond description.

Give me McDonalds any day if I have to have fast food.

I don't think there is one near me either. Carl's Jr yes.
I haven't been to Carl's Junior in a long time. I like their food, I don't like their prices. For that kind of money I'm going to a sit down restaurant.

I enjoy Applebee's boneless wings........

Somers Point? Yeah, that one disappeared really fast.

DW and I went to Burger King about a month ago because we received coupons in a circular. It was the first time in at least 10 years. The coupon was 2 Whopper Value Meals for $10. The menu board indicated that ONE Whopper Value Meal was $8.49!!! Geez, I never realized fast food prices were so high these days, but then again I rarely go to any of them.

My wife and I like to go wine tasting, and there is a Burger King we stop at because we always like to have a full stomach when we are wine tasting. We always order off the Value Menu, just the sandwich, not the meal, 3 Bacon Cheeseburgers at $1.49 each, 1 value fry $1.49, $6.26 out the door with tax.

Restaurant Brands International owns Burger King, Tim Hortons's and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen.

I rarely go to Burger King since their merger with Tim Horton's. even though Burger King was the larger company and operations remained the same their corporate address moved to Canada to reduce their US taxes.

All the Burger Kings in my area have been remodeled and look pretty nice inside. There are a couple close by that I don't mind going into to eat. Then there are some that I don't even think about stopping but that is pretty much because of the neighborhood instead of the BK.

Our 5 Guys also went out of business. People raved about it but I wasn't a fan.

I like the Burger King locations in my area. My closest one opened a couple of years ago and I go there a few times a month. You can't beat $3 for a double cheeseburger, small fries and small soda with a coupon (or $3.49 for the same deal with 2 single cheeseburgers instead of a double for $3.49 without a coupon).

On the rare occasions we get fast food, that's what DH and I do. Order various small things from the cheap menu, or order one full meal plus one sandwich only and then split the fries and drink.

But sometimes even that isn't cheap. At Chick-fil-a a few weeks ago, the meal plus sandwich only was over $13. $8.29 + $4.95.

The specialty sandwiches can kill your budget. I wonder what McDonald's new bigger breakfast sandwiches will sell for? They reminds me of the loaded breakfast sandwich I got in Tomorrowland for $9.49

I heard if you eat a Whopper as old as this thread it will taste the same. Of course that not saying much, and you probably would die.

Lol, I would imagine that's true. Altho I just received a bunch of new BK coupons and was contemplating stopping there on the way home....

Coincidentally, I made my first ever visit to 5 Guys tonight (stove broken, eating a lot of take-out). The place was completely deserted and I see why: 3 single bacon burgers, 2 small fries and 3 milkshakes totaled $49.00. :faint: I'm not a burger person so I'm not the best judge, but even if they were God's gift to burger-lovers, I'll simply never go there again.

I'll always have a spot for BK as it was the only fast food place where I grew up.

But, I've become a burger snob and only really eat fast food burgers on the West Coast at In N Out or Shake Shack on the East Coast.

I like never go to BK, but you can't beat chicken nuggets for $1.00. I had to stop there today just because of that promo :rotfl2:
