My computer is in my sunroom (all season room actually) and I have the shades up and keep seeing all the bunnies hopping through the snow....it's so cute. They keep heading to under my bird feeder and digging in the snow to get the scrap bird seed.

What can you feed them??? You should see all the rabbit prints all over!!

That's sounds adorable Lisa!!

Have you thought about carrots?? ;)

Kim...that's what my kids said....but I don't know...I would love to start putting something out for them at night.....just hope Babe (our bullmastiff) doesn't need to go out anymore tonight!!

How 'bout lettuce?

Are you worried about them taking up residence? Then, I wouldn't feed them at all I guess. And, if later it becomes a problem, Babe could scare them off. (Altho, I know they hide pretty well) ;)

Lisa, that sounds so cute!!! We had tons of bunnies in my dad's yard when I lived there. We would just give them carrots, lettuce, bread even (they liked eggos too :teeth: ) Oh and ours loved marigolds! For the most part our bunnies likes almost everything we put out and I loved to watch them too. Are you able to get any pictures of them?

I do have some bag salad that is getting old.......maybe I will try that. Wish I could get some pics...well, I could but can't seem to get my camera hooked up to computer again....keeps not wanting to restart....

The one same bunny is still in the same spot under the tree since my original post too!!!

I don't mind them at all taking up residence here...they normally do.....DH has ran over many nests with the mower unfortunately......we are much more careful now!!!

Maybe those wascally wabbits will stay around 'til Easter...:)

Is there a difference between a rabbit and a bunny?

Bunnies are cute!!
We see them scampering around in our yard fairly often too:D

If you are feeling generous you can get a bag of timothy hay or alfalfa hay (at your local petstore) Hay is essential to a rabbit's good health, providing roughage which reduces the danger of hairballs and other blockages.
Here's what rabbits can eat:
Alfalfa, radish & clover sprouts
Basil
Beet greens (tops)*
Bok choy
Broccoli (mostly leaves/stems)*
Brussels sprouts
Carrot & carrot tops*
Celery
Cilantro
Clover
Collard greens*
Dandelion greens and flowers (no pesticides)*
Endive*
Escarole
Green peppers
Kale (!)*
Mint
Mustard greens*
Parsley*
Pea pods (the flat edible kind)*
Peppermint leaves
Raddichio
Radish tops
Raspberry leaves
Romaine lettuce (no iceberg or light colored leaf)*
Spinach (!)*
Watercress*
Wheat grass

(!)=Use sparingly. High in either oxalates or goitrogens and may be toxic in accumulated quantities over a period of time

We had a bunny one year who loved bread. My DH fed it to him one time and the next time he saw my husband he started hopping over to him. DH said "bunny want bread?" and walked in the house, by the time he came out the bunny was sitting under the bush where he got the bread the last time. This went on almost all summer. It was so cute!
