Do all the ocean view staterooms on the Magic have the pull down bed over the couch?
Only 2 of us in the room, but my DD (8) likes the idea of sleeping up top.

No, I don't think so. Some have just the couch that opens into a single bed, some of the larger rooms have a pull down murphy bed and the couch without an upper berth. Some sleep five and have all three configurations. I ran into this issue also because I am a single mom and like to sleep in the bed. I assumed that rooms that slept 3 had an upper berth and that turned out to not be true (which would have meant I would have to share the bed with one of my kids). So my travel agent made sure I got a room with an upper berth.

We were told on the Dream that it depended on how many kids were booked per room. 2 kids get the drop down bed.

Actually, the opposite -- rooms that only sleep 3 will NOT have the upper bunk bed, only the sofabed.

Not necessarily. Some staterooms sleep 3, some sleep 4 and a few sleep 5. You cannot book your party into a stateroom without enough sleeping spots, but that does not translate directly to the number of children = the number of beds. If you have 2 adults + 2 kids, then yes you will have the bunk. But 1 adult + 2 kids may only have the queen plus sofabed, no bunk.
