I was asked to sub in tonight for a friend in our neighborhood Bunco game. It was so much fun I'm secretlyl hoping that I'll be needed more often. It was my first time to play and I loved it. Anyone here play Bunco?

I don't know what that is, so I don't think I play it ;)

I play Bunko one night a month with a travelling Bunko group and I love it! Also a couple of times a year we get together for a couple's Bunko.

Katholyn, Bunko is a dice game played with three dice. Players, who sit at tables for four, play in teams of two to roll a particular number on the dice. In the first round, players roll for ones, then twos in the second round, and so on. Rolling one of that number equals one point, and two of that number equals two points. Rolling three of a kind is called a BUNKO and is worth twenty-one points. A round is completed when a team accumulates a total of twenty-one points. Groups usually have twelve members, along with substitutes to fill in for any absences. There are other rules that groups use, it varies from group to group. Prizes are usually awarded for most wins, most Bunkos, most losses, travelling Bunko and a lottery prize.

Tiger Fan, glad you enjoyed yourself, it is a lot of fun. I hope that they invite you back again. For me it is a great night out with the girls with fun prizes and good food (we all bring a dish to share).

I just joined a one night a month bunco group last month. I was surprised at how fun such a simple game could be!

I used to belong to a group before we moved. Unfortunately I could never find enough girls who wanted to do it for a monthly night out here. And the few I found all had played with different rules! Apparently there's quite a number of ways to play.
Glad you had fun, Lisa!! Next time play for me, ok?:D

I LOVE BUNCO!

Did I make myself clear on that???

We usually play Bunco with family and/or friends, but I am not in a regularly scheduled group. We are almost done with an addition we are putting on right now, and I am so anxious to break it in with a huge Bunco party. I even call the family room addition the "Bunco room".

What I would like to do is to round up 6 couples who all have kids so we can each take turns hosting a party during the year. It's too hard to find sitters, so I would prefer to just be able to take my kids along and have them play with other kids while the adults play Bunco.

I play Bunco and have for a couple of years. We have the best time. Ours is ladies only, we take turns having it at our house and whoever hosts it that month provides dinner too.
We play a little different than tiggerlover. In our group you do roll the 3 dice and you get 1 pt for every 6 you roll. You get 5 pts for rolling 3 of a kind and 3 6's are Bunco. In ours you win for most bunco's, most games won, 2nd most games won and a loser pot. We also pass around a sock with money in it to whoever get the bunco--that player then passes it on to the next person to get a bunco--whoever has it last game gets to keep it. We have 3 tables and the head table plays to 21 pts then when they reach it the games end at all the table and the winners move to new tables.

I play. In fact we are holding our monthly game tonight at my house (each of the 12 members has a month to host it, I have March). The hostess cooks dinner for everyone.

I'm serving kabobs for dinnner, anyone want to come?;) ;)
