Bunch of Questions from Day Tripper

Hi all, I'm new to this forum.

Me, DH and DD4 are going to St. Pete the first week of May. My awesome hubby, understanding of my almost insane need to visit theme parks, suggested a day trip to Universal Studios. Woo hoo! I haven't been there since our honeymoon almost seven years ago.

So the impulsive planner in me has taken over. I have a ton of questions. Here are the facts: We are driving in for the day from St. Pete Beach. We are early risers and will plan on being there at opening. We are going to US only, IOA has too many height requirements for DD4. Our options to go are Monday, May 3rd through Friday, May 7th.

First, what is the best day of the week to go? (I'm hoping someone says Tuesday :) )

Second, my daughter is about 41". I noticed the height requirement is 42" on MIB. Will big hair and big shoes get her on if she's 1/8" under, or is it like dealing with the Disney-height-requirement-gestapo? From what I understand, it's pretty similar to Buzz at MK. What's with the 42"?

Third, what characters can we expect to see? Disney has made her a character hound. The ones she wants to see most are Spongebob, Shrek and Fiona. Is there a chance I'll have any luck with them? Who else might we run into?

Thanks to all for your responses!

U will find spongebob at end of jimmy neutron ride and shrek outside of exit of shrek as for the height req in MIB am sure its probably due to the spin its pretty intense :jester:

On our first trip my middle son was just a hair away from being able to ride dueling dragons. He had his heart set on riding. So the next day we took a trip to the local Kmart. I got him a pair of sandals that gave him an extra inch or so. then we put gel in his hair to give it a little height. When we got to Universal he was able to ride dueling dragons.

Invest in some thick soled shoes.

Bump!

Still hoping someone can fill me in on the best day to go Monday-Friday (first week of May).

Also, any more insight into which characters we may run into at US? We've got Shrek, Fiona and Spongebob...anyone else?

THANKS!
